Must you put so much emphasis on being an ass?
Must you put so much emphasis on being a blind, ignorant fan boy?
Rhetorical question I guess.

Sorry to break it to you, but I like to bury my head in the sand, and pretend Bungie has a passion for absolute best quality, and I don't believe they would've left it up to a small team at Microsoft if given the choice.
And yet they did, only this time they decided they weren't going to focus as heavily as they did on the PC port of the project of it. And if you honestly think Bungie is into "quality" then they would have never sold theirselves to Microsoft in the first place with that contract. Halo 1 and Halo 2 were laughable products when half of the content ends up being left out and then being thrown all together in Halo 3.

Either way, Bungie, Microsoft, or Bungie & Microsoft was behind leaving it up to Hired Gun, why should we really blame them as a whole? I just blame the crappy programmers/planners at Hired Gun. Maybe they just didn't have enough resources to get the project done properly on-time, who knows?
Do you understand what being mandated is? It means you are told what to do. It's no different then a soldier getting his orders from a general. He can't question the orders because he's working for the general. Simple as that. I again express the fact that the only people still trying to help people out with their Halo 2 Vista problems are Hired Gun people. But go on, bite the hand that feeds you and pet the one that gnaws at your leg every day.

I don't know all the facts here, but it seems pretty apparent to me that Hired Gun, and some retarded fatcats in a small division of Microsoft (not as a whole) are to blame here. And I'm just kinda venting my frustration here, at what seems apparent here.
And yet you would be wrong, mostly due to your blind fanboyism here. Bungie played a big role in this matter by not participating as much as they did last time. They still did tell them what could and could not go in. The Mongoose was one of those things. It was going to be one of the new vehicles in Halo 2 Vista, but when it was also going to be a new vehicle in Halo 3, it was pulled. That, and many other reasons, was why we didn't see any new content in the port (and three new maps isn't "new content," especially when they were made by Hired Gun).

Really, must you put emphasis on being a jerk here? And so what if the same topic was here last October? I wasn't there for it, and this is the first time I'm discussing it.
Really, must you put emphasis on being an ignorant fanboy here?
Oh, wait, again; rhetorical question.
Posted by: Mr Faucy PauntsWell, whatever the case, this is crap. And yes, I'm aware playing the "blame game" here won't really accomplish anything. But hey, someone screwed up Halo, and that's something to get peeved about.
Ok? Then why change the subject and point the finger at Hired Gun only? Hypocritical much?

Next time, try to correct us in a non-arrogant/diminutive manner. Jerk.
Likewise. Go grow a pair and come back to me when you're ready to speak like an adult.

I agree with your post, but give some people around here a bit of credit. It's pretty obvious to me that Microsoft called the shots on this one thus ultimately no one is to blame but them.
There was also Bungie. They still did send consultants to work with Hired Gun. They still did call the shots on a few things. Then, in the middle of it all, they dropped all known contact and support with the news and said, "Since we're not 'involved' we won't be reporting the news on it." Funnily enough, a few weeks later they do a full Weekly Update about Shadowrun. Lots of involvement there!

What is Bungie's role in this? Not much other than a damaged reputation over something they really couldn't control. I would like to see them come out, apologize, and disavow the game. A little good will goes a long way sometimes. How about Frankie puts out a statement saying, "hey we didn't have much control over the project and we are sorry with how it was handled. We hope to regain some trust from our loyal PC fanbase by earning it."
Bungie's role in this was letting it happen, just like they let Halo PC happen, despite it being the better port of the two. Bungie forgot about its roots when they sold their souls to work under contract for the devil himself. Now, with them off contract, we still don't have any word from them; no apology, no recognition, no, "Hey guys, sorry we haven't touch-based with you guys in over ten years, but we'd like to say we still know you're alive." Nothing. And I suppose that more so has to do with when Alex Seropian and others left to go on and make Wideload Studios, where the real spirit of Bungie lives on (PC, Mac, and Xbox cross-platform games).

BTW, what was the previous topic? I remember the thread about the open letter to Microsoft, but I don't recall people talking about the end of support for the game.
Because no one actually cared. The majority of us said, "Like that was a surprise," and it was buried later on.
