lots of times on these forums i see people bashing the PS2 or the gamecube. i understand that we all love our Xbox but is it not possible for you to like all three systems? i mean just because some people dont have it that doesnt make it bad. i bet if i offered any one of you a free PS2 or Gamecube you would take it. plus gamecube is the sturdiest system (i know tthis courtesy of morgan webb and her sledgehammer)

Come now, hate is a very strong word. Let's use "disapprove" or " do not like" or "i f-ing loathe that", never hate.

I personally don't hate PS2, I hate holding down the x button. It is really hard to play racing games in PS2 You have to constantly move your thumb to brake/accelerate. But I like xbox's triggers. The only reason I like PS2 is because of Gran Turismo 4. Gamecube has no games that I like although I admire the graphics.

yeah but some people just wont admit that the gamecube has really good graphical capabilities. just most games dont use the full potential of the gamecube

I have every system starting Super Nintendo, so I know my systems (Dreamcast was da' BOMB!). Out of the three latest systems though, I have to say the Gamecube just dosen't have the game library I like. PS2's good with its library (it has by far the most expansive), but the X still beats it.

There is no point of hating anything because it is better/worse than others. People need to at least respect others' opinions if they don't agree.

Once I played xbox, I could not play PS2 because of the graphics. I love my xbox although it scratches uo my games.

I like Game Cube because all of Nintendo's games are too zany and fun to play to pass by, that plus Metroid Prime 1 and 2.

Paper Mario 2 is sooo fun! To hell with details, give me a world of colours!

Oh, and I still love Xbox for Multiplayer, and most of the games on Xbox rock. All of the 3rd party games on the GCN I have to admit are rather well... icky.

I don't like the PS2 much, not because of its games... but its design. The system suffers from a motherboard bottleneck. There are not enough circuits for all the RAM space connected to the CPU and Sister boards; therefore the whole system only ever runs at 80% capacity. Also, remember the PS2 is a lot older than the Xbox and GCN, so face it... its hardware is out of date. And even the PS2 mini, its just smaller because the outdated hardware from the original is now used in palmtop computers. Sony just put this technology in the PS2 mini to score some sales... all they care about is money, not you!

Well I truthfully don't like GameCube that much...not enough decent games, I mean when it does get a good game it's a damn good game, I just recently ordered Paper Mario 2 from Amazon so I hope to get that soon.

I don't hate the ps2, I hate sony they promised 4 controller slots and so much more, and they only sold a half of what they promised for $299, the hardware was only worth $199 at the time. they also held back on all the extra features so they could make money off of add ons, it's all about money to them.

  • 01.02.2005 3:57 PM PDT

I don't like Gamecube because it's games do not really appeal to me.I must say though that it does have much more hardware potential than the PS2 I just wish it would get some third-party support.PS2 is just old.

I hate PS2 for the controller design and almost complete lack of good games, but I love Gameucbe for providing one of the few single player experiences I actually enjoy. Not to mention SSBM is probably the most fun I've ever had with a party game other than Halo and Halo 2.

I don't hate them. I just don't use them. I have a Gamecube and an Xbox. I hardly play the GC.

GC's only redeeming features are Rogue Leader and SSBM. Everything else kinda sucks. I don't like Nintendo that much anymore because I used to be a Nintendo fanboy until I found out how -blam!--ish Nintendo can be (I consider Nintendo Power to be more propaganda than gaming journalism). Plus, I think Nintendo are retards for not having any online games because "It'll never catch on."

I'm not much of a fan of PS2's graphics, lack of controller ports in modern system (just more proof that they want to milk every dollar out of you they can) or crappy controller design (The Xbox Type-S is the best controller, hands-down.), but I have to admit that PS2 has some wicked awesome games that originally came out for it, like MGS2 and 3, SOCOM, and GTA. Gotta dig the backwards compatibility, too. As it's been stated before, the outdated hardware is what holds the PS2 back.

The Type-S? The best? Haw! I stand by my belief that the Dreamcast's controller along with the VMU are the most perfect incarnations of controller goodness to date. Throw another analog stick on there and it'll be perfect.

If it can run a video game, I love it. Except the N-gage. ((Rott in hell Nokia!))
