I have just transferred my WLID. However, I want to continue using the name 'Daiyus' on these forums. How do I cancel this account, so I can then sign up with my new WLID and use the same name?

All help appreciated.

You can't. And even if the account auto deletes after a years worth of inactivity; you can no longer use the name Daiyus.

Damn! Thanks for the Info. Muchly appreciated. Daft really that you can't cancel the account. Can't a mod do it?

No problem Daiyus, I am always happy to help.

And no, a moderator cannot do it, they do not have the power to delete an account.

Oi, imagine the chaos that would have caused during the Pezza incident!

Then explain my name. I got it in 2006 after the previous account was deleted.

Indeed. I believe that the system deletes inactive accounts after one year, and then reserves that username for an additional 90 days, but after that I think that the username becomes available again.

False!

Actually, after inactivity for 1 year, there is a "lockout" period of about two months. I periodically tried to re-create the account name Bapabooiee (which I am using now, after Faucy Paunts for 14 months on my alt.), it said the name was available, but I couldn't use it temporaroly. But now, after 14 months (past the lockout period), and using that alt. I finally have my old name back =DD

You could try asking Tom (Achronos) very, very nicely... But, don't even bother. You have a snowball's chance in hell with him. ^_^ So happy! =DDD

14 months of waiting have paid-off, and why am I so damn picky? Wow. <333

... Although I regret my lack of originality now.

Me too. Excuse me while I vomit from your profuse lack of wittiness. The punishment will come later.

Edit: Still not done.
