Well, actually, Microsoft owns Windows, which is more expensive than an Xbox, so getting people to buy that makes them more money. And also, they don't care if the GC and PS2 people play their game, as long as they pay for it. Mac version makes even less sense, but the Mac isn't a real threat to Microsoft anymore, so they might put their games on it as well. The only things you can be 100% sure won't see is any Halo game officially released on a PS2, GC, or for Linux.
P.S. I also doubt there will be a PC/Mac version, but for technical reasons as opposed to rabid fanboyism
