I had this idea but I don't know if it's possible because I only know a bit of programming. Is it possible to make a program that blocks out all functions except one or two? Like software that you could set to only allow one game to run, and block everything else on the computer so that you could decrease lag. I know some programs require certain parts of windows to work but then you could allow just those parts of windows to run. Does this make sense and would it do anything?

Oh sure, it's possible, but it's easier just to buy more RAM,or close out the processes manually. (Of course, there are some procesess that are absolutely necessary for running a computer)

It's easier to go into your process menu and shut down things manually or get more physical memory.
