Subject: Does Bungie owe me an NEW Xbox

Strange evolution how people have come to believe
That we are it's greatest achievement
We're barely, we're just a collection of cells
Overrating themselves

Bungie owes you nothing.

Software that breaks hardware.

Interesting idea.

Unfortunately, you would need to show that the hardware is rock stable and unlikely to ever break.... oh wait, you mean a 360, right?

I guess you don't have Windows Vista, then?

I've had Vista Ultimate for almost a year now, and the only issue that I've run into is the fact that I can't install Mechcommander Gold on a Vista machine.

Other than that, Vista has been pristine with me.

No, it didn't.

It died because it couldn't stand being with you....

Honestly no, could you tell me what is wrong with it though?

Oh, btw, you dropped some of your lunch into b-net. I found it

No, halo is the most unlikely thing to do that.. It happens to all Xboxs with time, they break... Probably because of hardware failure, but Halo had nothing to do with it. Just because your Xbox kicked the bucket, it doesn't mean it's the most recent game you played's fault..

And no, you don't get a new Xbox, Bungie owes you nothing..

You have no rights, play nice.

Yeah seriously, what the hell is wrong with vista? Theres always someone whos acting like its the biggest crap ever yet he or she is never going into detail, so what major problems are you refering to? I have two different versions of Vista installed on three computers and the only problem that Ive experienced so far is that some 3rd party developers havent patched their stuff. The same thing can be said about IE, im never having any problems with that so why are so many acting like Firefox is way superior. I installed Firefox once and the only thing it caused was problems.

Vista? Bad??

It's those funny Apple comericals that give Vista a bad name. Anyone with some Computer skills, and has used vista knows it's pretty good. The only bad part are, like Batzter says 3rd Party drivers.

lol Vista.

I've been running Vista home premium (64 bit) since it was released and have not had any problems related to the OS. My only gripe is the availability of drivers for my other devices and the slow rate at which software companies are updating software to work properly with Vista.

The problem is, that many people (usually, less informed) equate that to be a problem with Vista. Much like the OP, they have something new on their machine and now it doesn't work, so they figure it must be the fault of whatever they just put on.

Hey, see how I brought that back on topic?

Thats funny. Only only know a few softwares that can destroy hardware and they are basically designed to do just that. However, a game destroying a console is just absurd. Since the 360 already has a well known crash rate, good luck trying to prove that a software (Halo 3) destroyed a console who's expect life is about 1 year.

Sure, you would need to bring up buggy or malicious firmware.... but that software hitting the hardware layer.

Application software is so far removed that it would take a deliberate act on a programmers part to have it somehow cause a real hardware failure.

What can I say......... I'm evil.

Bungie doesn't owe you a new 360, Microsoft does. Aren't most 360's still under warranty?

Let me rephrase myself. Vista Home Edition is just as bad as Windows ME.

Because it doesn't support domain membership/policies, IIS, tablet features or being an RDP host?

Vista is Vista is Vista.... some features are disabled based on the version, and anyone can simply unlock those features by upgrading online. Since the home and business tiers both cap off in the same version of "ultimate", it would seem to me that no version is really "crippled" or "bad". Simply "feature restricted".

No I wasn't really talking about features, although I think having to pay 300 dollars to upgrade and get the good features is crap. I've had bad experiences with Home Edition. Such as blue screens and freeze ups. Along with wireless network problems after coming back from standby. After all the updates the OS is still buggy and has an all around sluggish feeling.

I don't think they where bios errors, although they could have been. It's my mom's new laptop that was doing all of this and it was a few months ago so I can't remember what the errors said. It still freezes up on her from time to time. I guess since I used Vista RC1 for so long I've been exposed to more bugs, glitches, and incompatibilities from Vista than most people. Which has left a bad taste in my mouth from Vista.
