I play lots of H3, and my favorite female is my game controller. She is pretty and shiny. I like them small and white with multiple buttons. I know it sounds bizarre how an individual can have filial thoughts regarding an inanimate object but most of the "women" on Xbox Live sport Adam's apples. Xbox Live turning into Eharmony? Just kidding! Quit talking about this nonsense and talk about more updates, new maps, and game-related content. How about a graphics update that make H3 a little like Call of Duty 4?

Mrs. CTCbigdog since 05/31/2008.

I was a bit frustrated with my Live gaming experience because of the treatment I received as a female playing Halo2. (I know, what a whiner.) Still, I went to the Xbox Live forums to find like-minded players. I was told to give Seasoned Gamers a look.

I loved the atmosphere at Seasoned Gamers immediately. It didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the people there. It’s an amazing community. Anyway, I really wanted to become a better Halo2 player so a few of the guys got together to help me out. CTCbigdog was one of the guys who came to my rescue.

That was almost three years ago. We are due to be married on June 7, 2008.

Thank you Bungie and Seasoned Gamers!

Well, to start, this isn't about love.

I first got XBox Live when I was on Halo 2. (Basically since the night of Halo 2's release I got XBox Live)

Ever since then, I have hung out with mainly 4 people. These people are Mad Gravy (Now known as Baconbitzz, Axe of Death, Ghoulishfaun) And to this day, we still all play online with eachother.

Even back on Halo 2, we made fun of eachother for things like what we thought eachother looked like. Even though now, we know what eachother look like, we still make fun of eachother in good fun for what we used to think.

Good times then, and still good times now :D

While playing Halo, I met a cello player. Being a violinist myself, this was a cool experience. After playing Halo for a long time, we finally exchanged phone numbers and met in person. Ever since then, we've made over $800 each off of mini-concerts.

I have to say that Halo 3 have served as a huge role between my girlfriend and I ever since it came out. We have been dating for over a year now, though I've known her for 4 years now. I was her blind date to prom and since then she has been the best thing in my life. The only thing that stands between us now is 634 miles of distance. Unfortunately, I go to school 13 hours away from home and only get to see her when I'm home on breaks. When we first started dating, she bought her Xbox 360 so that we could both play games together. She is as big of a gamer as I am and it serves as a way for us to connect and have fun together while we're still far apart.

Every night after I'm done with all my homework (usually around 10:00 pm) we both log on together on Xbox live and talk via voice chat about how our days went. Then we fire up halo and play together until it's time for us to go to bed. She is the same rank as me and it's amazing (and sometimes embarrassing) how good she really is. We usually start out playing Ranked Doubles for a while until our other friends come on to play some team slayer.

Our favorite thing to do is what we call our "Double-Date in Halo". There is another couple that we usually play with who are both really good. So we have 2 guys and 2 girls on our team. Try to imagine what your reaction would be when getting owned and then in the post-game having 2 girls tell you "Nice try boys, maybe you'll do better next time." The usual reactions have been "holy crap" or "Oh my God", but occasionally we hear some hilarious ones like when they say how much they wish their girlfriend's played halo. Although, the best part is after we leave the lobby and all the friend requests/messages pour in.

Some people try to tell me that I'm crazy for trying to keep a long distance relationship, but when you have somebody you care about that much it's impossible to give up. With technology evolving and bringing the world together it's making the distance seem a lot smaller than what it really is. I'm home on Winter break with her right now and it's about to end (I actually took a break from packing to type this), but I know that once I get back I will still get to see her thanks to our Xbox 360's and Halo. Thank Bungie!!!

I've met a lot of people using Halo's multiplayer. People I now consider best friends. Where's the Commando shoulder pads already?

<3

Ive been with the same tight-knit group of -blam!-s since just after halo2's release. We spent over a year (two years, mb?) playing bigteam and clanmatch nearly every night. i plan to visit a bunch of them soon.
So thanks bungie, for the good times, and good friends gained because of your game.

one thing, though, Where's the Commando shoulder pads already?

Oh, and about those Commando shoulder pads...

I Heart Halo

I have several friends that i keep up with and know because of Halo. I play Halo with my Brother. I have 3 close friends that i spend a lot of time with. We are starting up a competitive gaming competitions. I am a management senior at Berry College in Rome GA and I am doing this for class credit but i plan on it continuing after college. Our bussiness will be called Legendary Competitive Gaming or LCG. We have a Website LCGpro.com. We have everything going for us. If you would like i will update bungie on our progress. MLG is the dominant force in the northeast but there is a void in the southeast that is just begging to be filled, but it takes people with special abilities to know how to hold these competitions. If we are a big success I will send frankie, Achronos, or lukems an update.

While I don't plan to marry CTCbigdog, I do have to admit that many of my closest peers I have met through Halo and SeasonedGamers and GeezerGamers. My family and I have even traveled to meet up with other SG families at an annual get together. A few of my closest friends I met when we got randomly teamed up for a small online tournament at GeezerGamers in Feb of 2005. We are all still gaming together in many games and are in contact daily through email.

Halo is much more than just the online experience, it is the communities that have formed because of it, or have been strengthened by it. Countless websites have the same stories that Chrysalis and I have posted... all because of a little game called Halo. So many of us owe so much joy in our lives because of this game, not necessarily found in it.

After I beat Halo 3 on Legendary I was approached by an older guy who asked me if I wanted to help defend the frontier from Xur and the Kodan armada.

After I freaked out and came back home I found out they had replaced me with an android so no one would realize I was gone. After an attack by an alien bounty hunter I realized that with mad skills comes mad responsibility and I went back to the fight.

Needless to say I pwned them.

I was introduced to Halo by a manager at Pizza Hut about four years ago. In fact, on Easter Sunday in 03, a group of us used the TV in the dining room to play Halo:CE before the assistant manager came in that day. It was a blast. I'd say my best friend now is a guy I've been playing Halo with since December of '04, and we still get together for at least a couple games just about every night. I've definitely learned a lot about how to block out trash talk, which takes a lot of practice. And I also rule a small third-world country located in my dreams. ;P

yes i actually met my girlfriend on halo 2 almost 3 years ago, started by playing multi flag on warlock and we were on opposing teams, i didnt know she was a girl until i sent her a friend request and joined a custom match her and her friends from school were playing, i thought that it was just a bunch of guys playing so i was just being a -blam!- dick like usual until i heard one of the guys say are you going to just let him corpse hump you like that amanda, thats when it hit me that Poisoned Hearts was actually a girl, after that we started playing ranked slayer and started talking, after about a week or two she had to go to costa rica for a class trip during the summer and i was going to a camp thing, we exchanged emails and kept in touch when she got back to a computer, i didnt know that she would actually email me but she did and surprised the hell out of me, after about a month we started a long distance relationship, me living in iowa and her in wisconsin, everytime i got the chance to come and visit her i did and it was more than i thought thanks to my friend who was willing to drive me that far, when summer came she came and stayed at my house for about two weeks and my family and i drove her back, when we graduated i moved to green bay and we got an apartment together, she hates her family so now we are back in iowa together still playing games on live, o and for a present she bought me my 360, which caught me by surprise, well come july 14 it will be out three year anniversery

Yup! My Sweetie and I met playing Halo 2 nearly 3 years ago. We are 450 miles apart and playing Halo gave us a way to be together as we grew closer and closer. Recently I asked x Chrysalis x to marry me and she said yes! We will be married 06-07-08.

To celebrate our engagement I got her a new Xbox 360 and I preordered her a copy of Halo 3.

http://www.seasonedgamers.com, Bungie and Halo will always have a special place in our hearts. <3

It was September 24th and I had been working on a Master Chief Costume for the Halo 3 Launch for a while. True it was pretty crappy (mostly made out of cardboard, plus a paintball helmet) and wasn't as true to Halo as I would have wanted. Still, I went to GameCrazy that night dressed as Master Chief, and I instantly became everyone's hero. The entire store staff (several of whom I knew from school) instantly stopped everything so they could take pictures. After another GameCrazy store heard about it, they offered me 60 bucks to go down so that they could take pictures too (apparently their store had a contest to come dressed as Master Chief, which no one participated in.) After going there, posing like a model, and coming back, things started to die down a little bit. I was just chatting with some fellow fans, waiting in line for my copy of the Legendary Edition, when suddenly a complete stranger did the most unexpected thing I've ever witnessed.

The guy said to me, "I heard one of the store members say that you reserved the Legendary Edition and you don't have an Xbox 360." This was true. I didn't have an Xbox 360. My plan was to use the money that I was going to recieve later from a part time job to buy a 360. In the meantime, I was planning on having a launch party that weekend and have a friend bring their 360 so that I would get to play Halo 3 anyway.

This guy, whoever he was, pulled me up to the front of the line. I asked him what he was doing, and without saying a word... he took out his wallet. Before I could stop him, he bought an Xbox 360 right on the spot and handed it to me. I was dumbstruck. I didn't know what to say.

The manager of the site "Albotas.com" was there and observed everything. He did a story on it and the article ended up spreading all over the internet within hours. It even ended up on sites like Halo.Bungie.Org , Joystiq, and G4.

The stranger wouldn't give me his name, so I still don't know who he was. All I do know is that he shelled out over $300 on my behalf, simply because I was a fanatic about Halo.

Because of him, I still am a diehard fan, and will be even after most gamers have lost their interest in Halo.

Ok ok. You got me. At least I don't pick up active camo when I have a flaming head.

If you promise to play nice, I will stop reporting you as a -blam!- offender.

Dude, first rule of Fight Club...............................
....Don't drop the soap...oh wait, wrong club...

This is a true story.

I recently switched schools due to my parents marriage issues. Or should i say ex-marriage. The first day of school really wasnt that good. I got lost every time i switched classes, and i hadnt made any new friends. Well anyway it came time for lunch. So i walk into the lunch room all nervous about where i would sit, and i look like a straight up loser cause im walking back and forth throughout the lunch room just staring out across the room looking for somewhere to sit. Well eventfully, i come upoon this table that seems to base its entire discussion on halo 2. (talked constently about LAN parties nothing else) So, right then and their, i sat down didnt say a word, just sat their and stared at the table in front of me. Well long story short those guys at that table are now my best friends. And in a way it was a win win situtaion. You see they became my best freinds and well i sorta filled them in on XBL and what its is and even talked some of them into purchasing it. So pretty much every night me and a few of them play some BTB in halo 3. Thats my story.

Well couple years ago I got a helpdesk position at the Vancouver International airport, there was a spot open in the network operations department. The head of the department mentioned he wanted to play "The halo 3 beta" I said "I had an extra friends and family invite." and gave it to him. The following Monday I was promoted. I owe a promotion at work to bungie at the very least.

I met the man I'm going to marry through Halo 2.

Back in 2005, I found myself involved in various online gaming communities. Eventually, the one that I found myself constantly returning to consisted of some amazing people who eventually became a part of my everyday life. At the time, I only knew of him by his tag, xTheBadFishx, and I never even really paid him much mind to him when he posted on the forums. I had no clue as to what he looked or sounded like and as he never really posted that much.

It wasn't until I finally got an Xbox that I hopped on Xbox Live, Halo 2 being my first game, and started playing with a lot of the members from that community. xTheBadFishx being one of them. When I first heard him talk, I sorta laughed. He had this really deep southern draw...and he cursed. A lot. I did notice, however, that he was an excellent Halo player and I did enjoy playing with him whenever the two of us happened to be in the same room. It's been a while so I can't remember any specific conversations he and I may have had, but Halo 2 was our gateway into talking to one another.

Things kind of stayed mutual for a good year and a half...maybe more (time escapes me!). I never thought of him in more ways than just a Halo 2 buddy and I'm pretty sure he thought the same of me. In the later part of 2006, it was discussed that our online gaming community should have some type of giant LAN party in which the majority of us would meet up for one weekend in the summer and just game and enjoy each others company outside of Live. So, the last weekend in April of 2007, all of us would get together and have our LAN in Virginia Beach, VA. Since I was only in Baltimore, Maryland I decided instead of paying for a plane flight to VA, I would just drive the 6 hours there. Badfish and our other friend, SwP, had made the decision to fly in and drive down to the LAN with me. Thus, BadFish and I started talking a little bit more every day: talking about what we wanted to do for that weekend and just getting our schedule information on the same path. Throughout all this, the two of us were learning a little bit more about each other. Things we had no clue about because the two of us had never had a reason to talk like that before. Eventually, he and I became pretty good friends. At the time, I had been in a relationship with another individual so most of my time was spent talking with him. That relationship ended up taking a downhill direction so I was never in a happy mood...and then I had BadFish... there were quite a few times when he and I butted heads (arguing in Halo...hilarious!)...to the point in which one of us wouldn't talk to the other for days. Our childish antics got so bad that we didn't speak for a month...and it wasn't till a week before the LAN party that he apologized to me and everything was ok. The LAN party came and went. Overall it was an AWESOME weekend. Badfish and I had at one point talked about the issues we had with each other and I think that had made a huge difference in the friendship we had.

After I had broken off with my then boyfriend, I vowed that I wasn't going to get into another relationship for quite some time. Welllllll, that didn't happen and eventually the friendship I had with Badfish (his name is Mike, btw) became something much more. There was one big problem: He lived in Louisiana and I still lived in Maryland. He ended up getting an internship in VA for the summer of 07 so that made our relationship much easier to deal with, however, he eventually had to return to Louisiana for school. He was still my Halo buddy, though. The two of us spent our time bonding while beating Halo 3 on Legendary...and honestly, playing Halo with each other actually made us bond even more....I guess it has to do with the whole teamwork and the communication thing!

As we all know, long distance relationships suck and I wanted nothing more than to be with him. In the beginng of December, he asked me to marry him...so I packed up my bags and moved to Monroe, Louisiana....and now here I am, two years later...with the guy I knew as xTheBadFishx....my future husband to be! The man I first started talking to in a game of Halo 2. :)

Thank you, Bungie <3

Wow...I sure did write a lot....

Moe

PS: Here is a happy picture of us being happy!
