I had been playing Halo 1 for over a year when I started dating a girl that didn't hate video games. This was great news. She was a big Nintendo fan. She had played through every single Legend of Zelda game when I met her. She got me hooked on Zelda, but I got her hooked on Halo. We ended up getting married two years ago, and she is still in love with Halo. So much so that she has failed to play Twilight Princess because she plays Halo 3 too much. My gamertag is Mr JB, and you can probably guess what my wife's gamertag is. It makes for some fun conversations in the pregame lobby. We are both 31 years old, and don't get to play Halo 3 together like we did during Halo 2 because we have a one-year-old gamer in training now. So while one person is playing, the other gets to take care of the baby. It works out pretty well. Tonight, my wife finally reached Level 30 in Team Slayer, and I am a 32 in Team Slayer and a 30 in Lone Wolves. I don't know of too many married Halo couples out there that are both Level 30s. I love that my wife plays Halo, but sometimes I wish she'd let me play more... I guess it could be worse...

My girlfriend hated Halo until I sat her down and made her play Co-Op with me on Halo 3 (on Normal...).

Now, whenever I have a Custom Games LAN-Party, in which I invite all my buddies over for LAN-Tastic Pwnage, she Split-Screens with me.

Yay. :D

Believe it or not, the following is ABSOLUTELY TRUE.
*********************************
My 21 year old son got hired at Tootsie's Cabaret in Miami (the largest strip club on Planet Earth) because of HALO 3 online.
*********************************
My sons and I all play HALO. I love Xbox Live & HALO because it allows all of us to B.S. and hang around with each other even though I'm in South Florida, one of them is in Central Florida and the other is in Ohio. HALO lets us all be together (at least in a virtual world) on a regular basis.
One group of friends I play HALO with all work at Tootsie's. One night at about 3am, we were all playing online and my son in Central Florida mentioned that he was looking for a job. He basically did an interview and got hired at the club during the downtime between HALO 3 matches. He moved back down here with me and is now making kick-ass money at a club that most 21 year-old guys would kill to work at.
*********************************
I realize this is no Disney Story (although there is a girl at the club named PRINCESS) but I think it's pretty frickin' great that HALO keeps my kids and I in contact even though we're separated by great distances.

My girlfriend first met me when I was in my Halo 2 crunch.....as in 10+ hours a day. She was dreading the day Halo 3 came out because she would never see me. Before it came out, we downloaded ' Super Marble Blast Ultra' off XBOX which happens to use the same camera controls as halo. She got really good at using the camera.....so tried Halo 3 with me when it came out. Not a day goes by we don't play at least a couple hours together. Team doubles has helped us work as a team. Ahhhhh, good times.

salut a mes amis et bonjour a mes freres de bungie

Im french sorry but im don't speak english.

i changed schools a few years ago and i had some really good friends there.
i signed up to XBL about a year later, still wondering what happened to my friends.
after about a week of playing custom games, i decided to try Matchmaking (hoping that my bandwidth was big enough). Fortunately, it was. I got thrown into a 1 vs 1 match on Coag, and after playing for a few minutes i realised that i recognised the other guys voice so i asked him his name. his name (which im not going to disclose) matched my friends name and after a few seconds of joining dots, i realised that the guy i was playing with, was one of my friends from my old school. yay!

I wrote something!

I met some of my best friends playing Halo. My brother got one of his buddy's to come play Halo 2 online with us, and quickly we turned into a three man team always playing together. Quickly after we had formed this awesome trio I met my new buddy's brother who went to the same school as I did. our first meeting kinda went: he-"Hey aren't you the guy that plays with my brother online" me- "Yeah I guess so? your brother's Spot?". After that I met like 10 other friends through Spot and his brother, and I still see them regularly and game with them even more regularly. It was especially good since it was a new school and I didn't know very many people.

I really have not met anyone of value yet. I do however get owned on a regular basis by my 9 year old nephew who is currently a 43. So I guess I can say that I have been humbled because of Halo 3.

Heya im Agent Saren and this is my halo story. Back when halo was released me and my bro never even heard of halo or its hype we just got the game when it was 1st released and we were addicted, we kept getting better and better and eventually there was no one around that could stop us in a match, we would win by amazing scores and we even beat a 2 vs 6 match which 2 of the 6 were constantly in tanks, although out of all of this I believe me and my bro became very close cause we never hanged out before and never got along but halo was something we could both do in enjoyment :)

Also our schools rival has a "challenge cup" every year and every year we got our a***es handed to us at the end, everyone knows its rigged but oh well, anyway the schools computer team has always lost to theres in matches of halo and a teacher had heard me talking to my mate about halo, of course me and my mate thought we were alright but out of my friends we never vsed anyone new in halo 2 and we wernt exactly the most well known ppl, sorta like the random ppl you see at school but never talk to, the teachers had asked me and my mate to try and organise a halo match against our rival school for the challenge cup, at 1st we werent sure cause we didnt know more then 3 or 4 ppl that played halo 2 but we tried anyway. Surprising enough I met at least 6 new friends while trying to get ppl to play halo with us and we all connected so well even though we all hanged out with different ppl, we did a few trial runs and found out that i was top with my mate with close 2nd in the school and so we chose our team and headed out on an unknown battle. The match was ctf on coagulation and our pre made plans were crushed within the 1st 30 secs as when we approached the base we were slaughted by battle rifle fire and we had thought that all hope was lost, then i managed to get into their base and steal there flag, as they jumped down the top hole to get me i thought it was all over till my mate turned up in a warthog and saved me from certain death, we drove back to base and secured our 1st flag capture at 1-0, no one could've predicted what would happen next, our team started to work together better then ever, we had snipers covering the whole map and vechicles on constant routes to stop them from taking our flag, in the midst of slaughtering them I had manage to capture 5 flags to nil, the win was amazing and people were going nuts, this was the 1st time our school had beat them at computer games (even though technically it was console) and but such a large margin, I became reknown as the best halo player around my town and met even more friends and turned more friends to like halo creating huge tournaments. That is my one great victory at school, cause i know my grades sure as hell wernt lol. Oh and in the end i had 45 kills and 5 flag captures and one of my best mates had 46 kills, he never let me live it down that he had beat me in kills and we still joke about it from time to time.

Thank you bungie for letting you tell my halo stories and i hope i passed the audition :)

You know you've been playing Halo too long when you sit down to dinner, fork in hand and in the corner of your vision you see "Press X to pick up knife. Hold X to dual-weild."

My current boyfriend met me while doing the "Drum Corps" thing, and the moment he found out I was totally into Halo, the match was made. He and I have been together for nearly 3 years now, and plan to get married in the not-so-distant future. We make it a point to play Halo 3 together now and then, but with opposite schedules, the time is limited. Heh... I found my man, and he found his gamer-woman. ;)

My sons and I have definitely bonded while enjoying the halo experience. Every night after work (or first thing in the morning if it's the weekend) I'm asked to play some campaign co-op, multiplayer or their favorite: forge. We laugh about the "Hey I just STUCK that guy" or the random "look down there at that" and then proceed to TK the other person and we all laugh..

No other game has brought us together quite like the Halo series. We all are eagerly looking forward to what the future holds for us, Bungie and Master Chief..

Woot!

I began playing on XBL about 4 years ago and I met a group of people to this day I still play with it was back in the rainbow 6 era, anyways this past thanksgiving I got to finally meet some of them, I ended up going on a flight to Calgary, Alberta Canada and spent thanksgiving weekend with them it was some good times, but we are die hard halo players now and I could'nt imagine it any other way, e had been playing halo 2 even when halo 3 had launched because I couldnt afford an xbox 360 and when I got there my friend had one waiting for me to take home with me, so saying that I would just like to thank the Teams at XBL, Bungie, and Ubisoft for all there hard work and dedication, without them I would have never have met so many of my new friends .

P.S
JOHNNY WALKER9 is the reason I get to play 360 and I would like to thank him

  • 01.15.2008 4:55 PM PDT

When I first started dating my boyfriend, I would get pissed when he'd rather play Halo, than hang out with me, but after realizing that I can either play this damned game or ditch the boy I strated to play. Thank God I choose the latter. That was four years ago, my boyfriend and I are still going strong and talk to each more on xbox live than we do on cell phones.
