Hey. I recently bought Halo 1 for my Mac Mini running Lep, but I can't get my visor "Yellow" color to show up during my game. Any suggestions?

Whatever. Never mind guys. I'll just go buy an X-Box. Thanks for the help you're giving to an eleven-year old boy.

I'm sorry, I didn't make it clear. Your computer simply can't handle it. Most likely you need a better graphics card, but since you're using a Mac, you need to buy a better computer.

The yellow distortion present on the Master Chief's visor is a cube map. My guess is that your computer's graphics card isn't capable of displaying them (on account of how old it may be).

A few other things to look at that might indicate this being the case.

-Go on any multiplayer map and look at your pistol. Move your aimer around. If a shine doesn't run across the angles of the pistol, then the cubemap isn't being displayed

-Look at the Master Chief's armor in campaign. If there isn't any shiny distortions that run across occasionally, the cubemap isn't being displayed

-Look at the water of say, Silent Cartographer. There should be a reflection of something present (a halo off in the distance, iirc), if there isn't, the cubemap probably isn't being displayed.

Actually, Mac's don't suck nearly as much now. Apple has a progra that lets you run windows programs, and it works with most games and programs. Like I saw a video of some one playing Counter Strike on Steam on a Mac.

If I ever wanted a Mac, I wouldn't but one, I'd build a Hackintosh

I really hope DX10 fails and we have all OpenGL. OpenGL 3.0 can do everything DX10 can, and work on all OS's. Opensource ftw.

Now it's fixed : D (I know, I do it too much)

Nah but seriously man. Lets go through the steps:
1st: you know little to nothing about PC gaming. You don't know that it requires certain hardware, nor how to use a PC really. You think about a mac and decide for it.
2nd: You purchase a mac. In addition to paying massive markups for hardware, you value sleek lines and a white-colored computer more than actual function and value. You also seem to expect that with this thousand dollar+ mac you'd be able to do something other than make photo albums. Wrongo, my friend. You have to spend around 2.5 k to get a mac with a video card, and it's not one of those sleek "look monitor IZ the computer!!" ones either. It's big, it's ugly, and it's white so it doesn't go with anything else in your electronics room. And in case you need reminding, it cost you two and a half grand.
3rd: after exhausting all other technical support options (kidding, by the way) you come on a forum with a bunch of PC gaming elitist pricks who hate everything that people who purchase Mac's stand for (form over function, <3 Seve, I have a magnetic cord, etc. etc. etc.). Here's a little article that should get you feeling warm and fuzzy... most notably the Mac ad montage... http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=macs_cant

Oh and btw you have to upgrade your video card
LOL too bad you aren't allowed to upgrade your mac without voiding the warranty, even if they sold video cards for it!!
*laughs maniacally and leaves*
