does any body know exactly when the new levels come out ?

My guess is March or April, around the same time the most recent maps are becoming free.

They need to bring in Infinity from Halo PC. That would make a great map for Halo3, and there would be enough room to put a hornet and/ or Scorpion in somewhere and still keep it balanced.

My guess though is that Frankies new idea is Sidewinder. Wooo!

I think if O.K. Corral is a remake of Hang Em High/Tombstone it's going to be along the lines of a remake (revisioning) like Guardian is to Lockout or Valhalla is to Blood Gulch. Same for Purple Reign. I can hear the nerd cries now.

It would be great if the new maps debuted in March. I'd love Bungie even more if we were to get at least 3 different sets of DL content a year. Keep in mind all of those don't have to be new multiplayer maps, but things like new armor permutations, colors, vehicles, weapons, etc. would be just as welcome.

The famine has ended.
MLG Playlist is begun.

In most ways, I still think Halo 2>Halo 3. Halo 3 doesn't have very many small maps, and it lacks one of the things that made h2 great for competitive play: weapon glitches. Plus, the number 1 problem that that could be fixed easiest: hardcore isn't hardcore anymore. In halo 2, hardcore was the competitive players dream, with settings proscribed by MLG focusing on map control and teamwork, and it made camping unrewarding and an illogical waste of time. In halo 3, hardcore is a esteemed but terrible playlist stricken with large maps, poor weapon balance and large amounts of camping. The level and quality of play that I've enjoyed since I played my first game of Halo CE in spring 2004 just isn't there anymore. To tell the truth, I've been experimenting with playing many other games online. COD4 looks to be a good alternate. Ill stick it out for a bit longer, but the aspects of Halo 3 I mentioned above need a complete overhaul.

Men, we've led these dumb bugs out to the middle of nowhere to keep from getting their filthy claws on earth, but, we stumbled on to something that's so hot for them, that they're scrambling over each other to get it. Well, I don't care if it's God's own anti-son-of-a-b*tch machine, or a giant hola-hoop, we ain't gonna let them have it. What we will let them have, is a belly full of lead, and a pool of their own blood to drown in!

Does anybody know an ETA for AU1?

1) Look @ sales records & rates for Halo 2 v Halo 3. That should indicate which is 'better.' Plus, Halo 2 had no campaign ending; how could that possibly be 'better.' Or perhaps you simply overlooked campaign and immediately jumped into multiplayer because you're so very cranky about a recent and embarrassing loss to a 'bunch of noobs.'
2) Weapons glitches don't make a game 'better,' mostly because they are, in fact, glitches. Now I will admit that I was a whore when it came to BXR and RRX, but there is a reason why they are called glitches. Eventually, when MLG gears over to Halo 3, weapons glitches will be found, and sadly, will be utilized in gameplay
3) Larger maps generally require even more teamwork than smaller maps because a) in regards to map control, there is more map area to control and b) there is a greater distance to be covered in regards to objective games, ie: flag, bomb.
4) I believe that there was a recent poll that proved that most people thought camping was a legit technique. In fact last time I remember it was 78% saying that camping is ok.
5) You refer to playing other games as 'experimenting.' Oh my, do your parents know of this? Does your shrink know? I can't help you unless you admit you need help. Your a dirty boy, aren't you?
6) In regards to your valiant effort of 'sticking it out,' I'm afraid that no one will commend you on you deed because the fact of the matter is that most of us could care less whether or not you 'stick it out.'

Sorry ,but today I just had to lay it out on someone...
DarkShotgun, you just got dumped on. Congrats, twat.

Yeah i know I'm a big n00b but I didn't catch if the maps were free or if you had to pay for them like the Heroic Map pack. Could anyone help me out?

While I agree with everything you said, Tiki, I believe that Halo 3 is better than Halo 2 for its gameplay and far superior campaign. Just because it's made a ton more money than the other titles doesn't necessarily guarantee quality. Anyone remember that the Godzilla remake made over $400 million? Sales don't equate to quality because as I'm sure you're aware, a lot of people are morons. Besides that one detail, I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments though. Even though 'twat' is little harsh. Good day everyone. : )

Rebellion in small things to let the world know I haven't surrendered.

Technically you could be a level 50 in Team Slayer and a level 1 in Lone Wolves if you hadn't played it yet. I've had the advantage and disadvantage of playing lower ranked people and higher ranked people due to this. I was a 36 in Lone Wolves and then started playing with friends more in Team Slayer, but I was a 10 there, but 36 for highest achieved skill. I think that something more should be done to even those games out. Maybe an average skill level or something that combines your highest skill with your current skill level on whatever matchmaking list you're playing on.

Few more things:

The lunging melee. I know and understand how it happens with the sword, but it's unacceptable for someone with an AR, Mauler, Needler, Plasma Pistol, etc. to lunge 10 feet and melee. It hasn't happened in such a way ever in a Halo game and that's because it's ridiculous.

Something definitely needs to be done to avoid situations like mine (with people having twice the skill level of other players). An average between the two would certainly be a good idea. At the very very least, the numbers should be kept seperate. You know, like saying
"Highest Team skill achieved:46
Highest Lone Wolves skill achieved: 21
Current Team skill: 44
Current Lone Wolves skill: 21"

If it was possible to only show one or the other depending on what playlist they're on(so only show team numbers if I click on their name while playing on the Teams playlist), that would be even better.

And I definitely agree with the melee lunge thing. I thought it was just a fluke when someone did that to me-especially since when he did it, the plasma grenade I had clearly stuck to him fell off and exploded six feet behind him.

I've been doing some reading about the armor permutations and how to unlock them. There are problems I have found: 1. You have already mentioned the Elite's Commando shoulders 2. The problem with the Spartan's Security shoulders. There seems to be no guranteed way to unlock them (my brother seems to have randomly unlocked them, but the methods of unlocking them for myself have all failed) and there is also no way to ensure once you have them unlocked that they will stay unlocked (an issue my friend had).
Thanks for your help.

please fix the melee issue. it should go to the person who hit the button first, not who has the most damage.
Fix armor issues.
Valhalla is Blood Gulch/Congulation.
Guardian is Lockout
