Wow, 100% for brutes. Actually, that's because I voted brutes and I was the first to look at this. hahahaha

I've never faced off with a brute or a prophet, so I can't really say. Considering the guy in the E3 demo knocked the -blam!- out of the brute with a single melee combo, they might not be extremely tough. I still think that the elites will be the best overall.

elites because with the best A.I ever known in a FPS they will use teamwork effieciently and you won't know what hit you.

Jackels because there will most likely be new sheilds and jackels already give us problems on legendary.

they allways were distructible, and no human weapon is gonna bust through it. in e3 2003, the jackals were hit by the warthogs. and, the battle rifle had a lucky shot, OR they didnt implemented it yet.

SB-117

The brute in the e3 2003 demo was just a grunt in brute skin. (bar the board attack though) They WILL be harder to kill in halo2

anyways, when prophets are with a group of covenants, they will be extremely strong, so I hear. the prophet uses Kinetic powers, that you might remember out MGS on the PSone, psycho mantis...

Prophets are like the covenant equiv. of captain keyes so i SERIOUSLY doubt youll be able to fight them..

well, thats your opinion, and thats sacred. My opinion is that you face them in the extreme situations. normally, prophets are like you said, captain keyes like, and they are like politicians. and -blam- good ones! they dont use weapons, as I said, but Kinetic powers. and I think Bungie will try to tell us about it. maybe the master chief one day can use kinetic powers too.

no wonder they ran into that door... =P

anyway, you are right. the brutes actual AI was not compete yet, so they just gave it a grunt's AI. which was not compete either, but it was useable for the E3 2003 demo.

Have you ever made a grunt do a hand stand against the wall?

even though i voted for brutes, i think the prophets would have some kind of phycic power or something since they are leaders

My vote goes to the Hunters, if their defense and AI are improved - especially in close quarters. Elites would be next due to their massive AI and tactical improvement. They would be incredible tacticians on a battlefield, I can only imagine. Though the sheer power of the Hunter would probably be immense, especially in closed quarters. If they don't get killed by a single pistol shot like last time, I think they'll be a dominating force.

It'll be awesome if the Prophet has a gravity gun built into his chair. Getting socked and thrown into walls while the automatic guns on his chair are ripping into you and knowing that the chair's shield system is stronger then a Gold Elite's...

Ow...

well in the first one jackles are the biggest pain in the ass but i saw on the e3 video the MC took out the shields with his AR but in Halo 2 definetly elites cuase the interview with the bungie worker said there going to be smarter and over all alot more difficult

Note on the E3 2003 video they couldn't have the person demonstrating the game struggling at extereme range to take out Jackals. They probably made it so that their sheilds were vulnerable to bullets and reduced the health on the shields to boot.
