Need to also remember that although Halo is a Bungie creation, MS have in the past licensed it out. Starting with the PC version and the Mac version which was licensed off to Gearbox, which has nothing to do with MS, and lets face it the Mac version is in direct competition to MS's OS's. Now would MS license out a Halo "license" to another console. Yes if its in there best interest. If it was to go into compition against a MS product it won't, yet if it was to assist another product to fight Sony (the bigger evil here), then yes...its likely. But it wouldn't be a Bungie creation, it would be developed by a totally seperate team for that machine like how Gearbox did (although that was just a direct port with enhancements).
But, running a version of Halo on a GBA? highly unlikely as the hardware can't handle 3D well, and definatly not something that fast. Just go look at Serious Sam or Doom on a GBA....ewww they really do suck. The GBA lags like made, you can't hit things, it has severe problems. Now, the DS handheld thingy hmm, that a possible as its a major hardware increase, and has a much better processor for handling graphics. Its not going to look like Halo, or HaloCE but it is going to have the elements we'ld expect no doubt. Covenant, Flood...the usuals :) But it would need to be severely cut down graphically, and probably the length of the entire plot also. More than likely loosing vehicles and other things too due to complexity. It is possible to make it run, it would be just something MS or Bungie wouldn't want to do themselves. If someone wants to pay then a huge load of money to use the Halo story and name then thats all well and good though.
