Yes. They do affect me. However, not always in a negative way.

I find myself frequently looking at the tactical side of things now, how to most effectively neutralize people in groups or alone... call me weird if you will, but it happens.

But I also find that when I'm playing video games, violent ones specifically, any cares, worries, or stress I had earlier in the day dissapear for a time. It gives me a place to vent anger, or to distract myself, or just relieve stress.

Whether you like it or not, violent video games do affect you.

That didn't get my attention, I just was bored. I voted no...but now that I think of it, they are a great way to help me relax, they don't get me riled up in the least. Except at lan parties, but then I am just hyper.

Everything will be gone long before me. When the first living thing was born, I was here, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave.

I want to change my vote to yes. I too have looked at the tactical side of a lot of things now. Nothing negative has affected me though.

"Now that I got you're attention..." er... no, misleading links/post subjects are not appreciated and I don't know about post subjects, but misleading links are not allowed. I suggest you don't do anything like this again, and if you do, at least not in The Flood, do it New Mombassa or something.

Violent games effect me like violent movies, books, mags, and other stuff, which is in no way.
Now if you post this again I might get my plasma rifle out....

Something that you trip over affects you...you are a little bit later to anything you were going to, which could make you lose your job, miss out meeting a special someone, etc etc. Butterfly effect.

My life would be very different without video games, both negatively and positively.

Yeah, sure, they affect me. We actually talk about the games and stuff, and think of potential funny movies to make involving the Master Chief.

I learned some good skills from games like Splinter Cell, like sneaking up behind someone or snapping their neck. I learned combat skills and about firearms from war games, and I learn how to fight in fight games. It does have an effect on me, but I'm not a psyco killer.

Violent video games usually have a strategy, and it helps you solve problems in the real world. They train you to find creative solutions. Also, they're great for hand-eye coordination.

Unless you play the Postal series nonstop and go around killing people with shotguns silenced with cats (yes, this is a feature in Postal 2....its sick i've never used it for fear of the results), it probably won't effect you. If you do, then you'll turn into a psycho.

Violent games don't turn people into killing machines! How many people that play violent games actually go crazy? The ratio is far below 1% - that's better than most jobs.

Your grammar is painful. It's anyone, it should be Do violent games affect you? . Aside from that, no. I regularly play games like The Suffering and Manhunt, and I don't believe it gives me the urge to go stabbing people. Why do you want to know, anyway?

who is retarded enough to kill someone because of a game like manhunt.
Another thing is, you cant blame halo for helping you practice your sniping skills, because sniper rifles arent shaped like xbox controllers, so the entire subject should never have been brought up in court. In the end, its the person who commited the crime, not the game. Even if the game creators are found guilty, the person will still be punished.

If you do not change the title to something that is not misleading, I will rip off your arms and beat you to death with them. Just like I saw in Mortal Kombat.
