... They're mostly mature rated games anyway. You shouldn't be playing them until you are 17. They're just changing it from a strong, already somewhat enforced suggestion to a law.

Welcome ot Soviet Russia! That's all I really have to say. Censorship, that's what that is, is wrong. Not that it effects me in any way, but it is wrong to censor anything.

PG-13 has the same type of violence as these games do. R is for more...stuff. Or wait maybe I misread your post. Did you mean why can't? Or is that what you meant? I thought you meant why can't.

Although we'll only find alternate ways of purchasing these games, it is still worth noting that the bill itself is not only uninformed but completely biased against the gaming community, a community mind you that is beginning to rival the income of Hollywood itself and is a major growing industry whether some people like it or not.

And why can one who is 17 attend a movie of equal or greater violence, language, etc. and not be able to get a game until 18? The world just needs to stop being so dramatic and calm down.

Everything will be gone long before me. When the first living thing was born, I was here, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave.

wouldn't that law affect free will or somethin like that? and ya, just have your parents buy the games for u.

people have enough warning on the box. so why tell them what they already know. all you're doing is destroying the economy. it's money you let the person buy the game. you get the money and the kid gets the game and we're all happy. couple days ago i went to wal*mart to by halo for the pc and they didn't take the money, then my mom offered to pay for it and she still didn't take the money. being able to play games should not be judged by age but by maturity instead

i agree stinkoman....it should be by maturity

but there would be a problem, they cant judge maturity. so i thought that if you bring a note with your parents sig on it stating that you can buy the game nd they know what it is then they give you the game. but then you could forge it and that would be illegal, so they can test handwriting to see the diffrences

It's not that big of a deal. It is pretty much the same thing that they have been enforcing for the past few years, they are just making it an actual law now. All you have to do is get your parents to buy it for you.

  • 01.04.2005 7:58 PM PDT

I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

Yeah, but also, I highly doubt it's going to pass...Unless the Republicans are more stupid than I thought. NOTE: I am a Republican, don't flame, I'm only saying that because the Republicans control the House and the Senate.

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

Blame it on:

* MAVAV
* Parents who blame their crappy parenting on movies and video games
* The Media
