I was sitting here, now that the calendar has fallen over onto my birthday, thinking about the past twenty years, as I browsed the forums. I've spent just over four years here at Bungie. I looked through some of my old posts and such, I remember the first post that brought me out from lurking the forums to actually participating in them; it was the massive "Halo Movie Thread" back in '04.

It's nice looking back through all your older posts and such. Anyway, I'm glad I came to B.net, despite some of the rampant stupidity of some of the things at the end of the day I still log in at least once. So, cheers, b.net hopefully we'll have many more years to come.

Anyone else, go back and look at there early B.net career posts?

Some old posts:

Smarts in the Forums? Old news!?

Repeat topics, a topic worth repeating?

I remember before Recon, it was "I can has Modz now?"

Two years ago, to much melee damage was called "BXR".

Halo 2 Account-Dealinggecko

I myself have also looked at posts from some time ago. I remember I used to always go on the forums without an account, then in 05 I decided that I should join B.net. At the start of being a member I didn't post much but as I got more comfortable around here I became more active a little at a time. Well thanks for the good times Bungie because I sure have enjoyed it here 7hanks.

I've seen you around lately, if it's any consolation, I think you're a fine addition to B.net. I used to post very thoughtfully with long, detailed and factual posts. Although, the community soon sucked all that out of me, and now I tend to post the same but less wordy. Far less wordy.

Edit: I can't even find my earliest posts from '04. I used to be able to pull them up, now I can't......

The thread that got me signed up to Bungie.net was "The hint hidden in the first published Halo ad"
There were some crazy theories in that thread... So many Anonymous Users...

Halo 2 Account-Dealinggecko

I remeber when the golden warthog first showed up in the Zanzibar forum, there was a video and people were going crazy about how many diffrent ways you could get it and such. Also thanks High Truth if you commented me man, it's nice to have people like you around in this community. I've been a long Halo fan since Halo ce came out but never really went on b.net and didn't make an account until 05 which is pretty sad lol.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

Good times, good times. If I'm not mistaken, the one thread that got me out of the darkness was a fan made movie called Warthog Ownage. My post is the first anonymous user. It's been far too long...

You tricked me. Here I thought this thread was going to be about a Bungie-fest which meant that there was the possibility of the East Coast Bungie-Fest getting rolling again. I was going to be psyched. You disappointed me.

It's not my fault you jumped to conclusions. Be disappointed in yourself.

Over at HFCS we're constantly hard...

Wait...
What?

Ah, I remember those days! It's interesting to look back at our old posts and see how we've changed! (For the better, hopefully)
