Do you have a great idea for improving this website and making it even more addicting and user-friendly? Post it for Bungie's consideration.

I'll start it off... I frequently cant find information I KNOW is on the site. Heres a couple ideas to make stuff MORE findable:

1) Include filters like YouTube uses for the community files. I should be able to see which games, photos, or films are the most popular this week, last month, or all time.

2) Beef up the search engine. We should be able to search in a particular forum (eg, Halo 3) without getting results from all the other ones. If people could find stuff quickly we wont have all the redundant posting (I wouldnt be surprised is THIS post is redundant).

Have your alternate gamertags displayable below your main one. That would be optional of course and need to be verified the same way. So when you log in you only have to log into your main account and not all of them. You can just click on one of your alts and view those stats like that. Or alter somethign in it (screenshots) like that. It would be good for the forums as well so you will have ONE main forum one you could add your alt screenshots with and maps and post with.

Without a doubt the 1 thing that needs to get better is the Search function. If that were improved then people would start using it *hopefully* instead of just posting the same thing as someone else. I try to use it, but I gotta admit its such a hassle. More advanced search options would be soooooo freakin good.

I just wish the groups were still the same style as the first Seventh Column. You know, the ones back in 2002 and 2003...

Whoa, you somehow found a way to puncture through the space time continuum so you could spend even more time on B.net than physically possible?

I know you can't share your secret Zag............but does it involve a flux capacitor?

Bigger sig space. Not a necessity but something that would be nice.

Expanded group functionality/more group features. I'm assuming the 7th Column layout was changed for a reason, but it'd be much better if there was some middle ground, something better than what we have now.

Didn't you know? Zag has trained himself even more in his ninja arts to travel through time. Believe it.

Something like that, Weggie. Something like that.

I'd really like to see profile Bios, and I was just violently reminded of those awesome profile quotes we used to have. Remember that spot on the top of the old profiles? I loved that spot.

I'm pretty content with my experience right now. A more filtered search feature would be very nice. However, I'm quite content with the current one (it gets the job done mostly). I'd like to see more acticivity in the Voting and Gallery forums. Looks like things might be picking back up over in the Gallery. Really just a-lot more opportunities for the fans to have fun with Bungie people :)

ya, gotta know who you are...

There are two things in particular that I think could be better.

When viewing "all posts by this user" you see the list in individual posts. The list for an active member can be overwhelming. A long list like that will turn me away, unless I am really digging. I think it would be better to see this list by threads not by posts. Like the list of forums displayed when pressing the community tab except with threads. Each one showing the user's last post in that thread like, the latest post displayed for a particular forum. The list of threads could be sorted by the date of the last post, or alphabetically. User discretion on the order sorting of the list would be useful as well. Options like those mentioned already in addition to others like category, threads you have both posted in, or anything else you can think of.

Secondly when submitting to the community file share with screenshots or maps/gametypes, your post may be seen by few or none at all. It can very easily be pushed to the back of the list where no one will ever see it. I don't look past the third or fourth page, if even past the first, most of the time. Since that forum is often(dare I say) spammed by lame screenshots, it can be hard to actually find a good screen that is worth reviewing or posting about. This problem has more has more to do with the screenshots forum. How do you get your submission seen by others without breaking the "7th" law about bumping.
What to do?
The static width of this site's layout doesn't allow for any other method other than listing the submissions vertically. By way of nesting, they could be categorized by type of shot(aesthetic or plain-gameplay[less focused on composition]), level, gametype, character/armortype, action, scenery. There are many possibilities.

These are the first things that came to mind.

2B || !2B - Why don't you look Inside the Machine?

Not sure how useful this would be but I'll post it anyways. How about a sort feature where you can sort through forum posts based on different criteria. I know that when I'm trying to look for a specific thread that it is kinda hard. The Search feature takes most of the pain out of it, but sometimes I just can't find that post made within a certain time frame. I'd also like to see a little thing like "Originally Posted on: <date>" It just helps me see the span of time from old threads with new posts and such. It probably isn't a big deal for most, but I'm a freak like that. >_>
