Subject: Does anyone have trouble aiming with a mouse?

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time. I know who you are. You are destiny.

Controllers are blasphemy for first person shooters.
Once you change from a 400-dpi 2-button mouse to something like the G5 or MX518 you don't want to go back. I have had my G5 for 2 weeks and the 2000-dpi setting is my default now. At first it was crazy fast, now its awesome, also 2-button mice with scroll wheels don't cut it any more. I now have to move my left hand to to only seven actual game buttons, w, a, s, d, crouch, jump, switch weapons and reload.

Old mouse had left click, right click, and scroll wheel.
This mouse has left click, right click, 2 two
Arty, as much as I respect you dude, I care to disagree on your first comment. I play Halo 3 with a controller (Duh...) perfectly, and I'm un-stopable in Call Of Duty 2 and 3 in the 360. The controller is good, just not as good as the mouse and keyboard though.

Back on track, though, I've never tried a 'real' mouse, either. My Cisnet PC brought this Logitech "Gaming" mouse and speakers, but it's real good for me. Despite I completely changed everything inside my rig, I never got rid of this mouse, it's trustworthy. On another thing, off-topic that is, I got these new Altec Lansing VS2320 speakers, and they're awesome! :D

I have the keyboard and mosue adapter for 360 for when I need to. I really wish it had native support on it though like the PS3, and hard drives that cost then a dollar per Gig. I'm not a fan of controllers for First Person Shooters, I like them for everything besides that though. I just don't like joysticks, If I set it to a setting where I can turn as fast as my mouse I can't hit anything at long range.

I also kind of hope you meant Call of Duty: 2 and Call of Duty: 4. The 3rd just didn't meant my standards, I mean some of the models for the weapons were elongated boxes. But to each man his own.

So how has the Maw been now that H2V is basically dead to Microsoft now. By dead I mean no more future support or updates not dead community wise.
I've been busy with real life myself.

Halo 2 Vista = Controller;
Halo 1 PC = Mouse;

I don't know why, but that's the only way I can play those games.

I started Halo and Halo 2 with a controller, so I like it better. The buttons are easy to press IMO.

Halo 2 is more molded to the design of a console game and a gamepad than I think Halo is.Posted by: halo2vista

Right, because nobody likes to be confused with the 101+ "buttons" on a keyboard; who needs that kind of response time, precision, and flexibility?

MIGHT be cause of the autoaim you get in Halo 2.
