Congratulations to the bungie community for solving the first challenge. The person who cracked this code and posted the message will receive a keyword via the PM system that is very important for the future. It is advised to keep it a secret from others because you can only benefit yourself. Now your second objective will begin at noon. Be sure you want to participate because time is limited and you may need the upper hand. Good luck.

Fixed.

Tell us your doings good liege.

Don't send me group invites.

The message is just backwards, but every number is corresponding the to the same letter in the alphabet.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

Fix'd.

While you do indeed have the answer, I think it may be necessary for those that are a bit confused as to how you got your answer. So, below, for those that may be confused, is the order in which each letter showed up. Prome just made the message readable; by reversing the entire thing. So the end becomes the beginning. Again, just throwin' this out there. Just incase some people don't believe it.

kcul doog dnah reppu eht deen yam uoy dna detimil si emit esuaceb etapicitrap ot tnaw uoy erus eb noon ta nigeb lliw evitcejbo dnoces ruoy won flesruoy tifeneb ylno nac uoy esuaceb srehto morf terces a ti peek ot desivda si ti erutuf eht rof tantropmi yrev si taht metsys mp eht aiv drowyek a eviecer lli egassem eht detsop dna edoc siht dekcarc ohw nosrep eht egnellahc tsrt eht gnivlos rof ytinummoc eignub eht ot snoitalutargnoc

Also, as said above, each letter can be found by matching each number to its corresponding letter in the alphabet. (I.E. 1=A 2=B 3=C etc.)

Edit: Quoting prome messed up. Fixed it. Also, congrats prome; where've you been this whole time?

That will teach me for snowboarding all day.... Yargh!

And I will be on trains all day tomorrow... Ah well, maybe I can compete in #3 or something....

...but...

MVP! :)

How I found my answers (to maybe help anyone with the next one):

Dates: NorthWest Halo Players (I was 1 day off..) - I just remembered that it was one of the first, so I looked at the dates at which the other first groups were created.
New Hotness launch - Looked at the picture of it on the Bungie Wikipedia
1st humpday against PMS - On the PMS website, it was pretty easy to find! (In the news)
Numbers: All the numbers of the theme masters - Looked through the members list of the theme masters group.
Waterworks' number - Looked on some IGN list they had...
Names/Words: Dave Candlands nicknames: candyman (1 minute too late...) and diamond... Lot's and lot's of Googling...
B.net users: Member 1441: Can you believe it... The search feature... Just searched 'member 1441'...

I wish I had seen this quiz earlier...! Some of the questions were pretty easy, but were solved before I got here... ;)

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Heh. It was a pain in the ass to type with one hand and remember which spot I was at with the other! That, and on many of the words I assumed their complete translation, based on half of what I had cracked.

Also, congrats prome; where've you been this whole time?

Watching and waiting for my time to strike...

But in seriousness, I was building a new PC during most of this exercise, so I wasn't here, unfortunately.
