I'm a real big Halo fan but I havent read the books yet, (what!) yea. I need some help though. Which order should I read the books in? How many are there, and are they all pretty much part of the Halo storyline?

3 books
Fall of Reach, the Flood, and First strike.

in that order.

and yeah, they are all part of the story line.
Fall of Reach is like background on the Spartans, the Flood is the game (and is also a mediocre book. I didn't like it much) and First strike is the sequel to the game.

Well first off, you posted this in the wrong forum.

You should read the books in the order they come in, which is: The Fall of Reach, The Flood, and First Strike. If you want to skip The Flood then thats okay because it is basically the game. Its still a good read though.

You should read The Fall of Reach first, since it is before the game,The Flood is basically the game as a book,so read it last, and finally read the First Strike novel second because it tells what happens after the game.
