Subject: Defaults for 360 controller Problems!

Im playing halo with a 360 controller using the wireless reciever and there are no defaults for my controller. I had to set up my aiming one direction at a time and the running feels really awkward. IS there a fix to this

also if im not pushing any sticks my guy will jsut run around in random directions. it happens way too often and i know my controller is not messed up

i was able to set my 360 controller up fine with halo 1, the only gripe i have is that i can only move in one of eight directions (digital directional movement) in multiplayer, which is total bull.....wtf

Halo does not have a special profile for the 360 controller. The eight directions is normal because of up, down, left, right and the diagnols. Halo does not set dead zones for the joysticks, so a slight right will mean you look or turn right. Face it, mouse and keyboard for Halo 1 is the best choice

Movement in the campaign is fine and dandy just like it was on the Xbox but it's only the multiplayer side that has 8 directional digital movement. That makes it so that slightest movement on the left analog stick will have you running full speed in that direction which is absolutely awkward. M&K is really the only way to go for Halo 1 multiplayer because of this.
