"Raised in blood, trained in fire, and hardened by battle; we are Spartans. And in defending humanity, we find our purpose." -Spartan Mantra (My Spartan Mantra)

- This is not an actual game made or in construction it is merely a suggestion to Bungie b/c i could find nowhere else to post it w/out getting some rude critisism instead of suggestion to make it better...

The Human-Covenant War is over and the Sangheili-Human Alliance is formed. Even though the Shipmaster in Halo 3 glassed Africa and gave the impression that the Sangheili think they're all bad-@$$, the high council or whatever the Sangheili leaders call themselves think otherwise (so they agreed to an alliance). Cortana's distress calls are picked up about a month after she sent them out by a Sangheili Ship. John 117 returns to Earth as a hero and is soon tasked with training the SPARTAN IVs. After the war, funding for the SPARTAN program hit an all-time high. They now have safer, more effective augmentations, Advanced MJOLINR armor (Mark VII Armor), and better training. Also, the newly formed alliance made a law that allows subjects to be taken from their home for private military operations (sounds a little freaky, I know, but things change when your species is on the brink of extinction). About a year after their training is complete, (and yes, you do play as a SPARTAN IV for this series) a Forerunner Sentinel army is found massing on the outer reaches of Sangheili-controlled space. SPARTAN IV's Alpha Company is sprung into action to Spearhead the assault on the new enemy (the other three companies are set at strategic colonies to defend them in case Alpha fails.) led by MC himself. (this game is basically just the training of a SPARTAN but will give the player new insight as to what MC went through and there will be tons of new features in the game [i have yet to come up with these])
- End of 1st game - (I don't know names for these games yet so any suggestions would be great)

So we left off with the SPARTAN IVs just completing their training in which you play as a SPARTAN IV (not MC). An army of Sentinels is found on the outskirts of controlled space. When the SPARTANS get there (and yes, you play with SPARTANS too) they find a Forerunner installation. MC thought it was another Flood "containment" installation, but when Gold team (you and three other SPARTANS make this up) goes in to reconassance the area, they find Forerunner citizens in an advanced form of cryo-sleep. After awakening the citizens, who turned out to be members of the elite guard to the Forerunner leader, said that there was a major conduit that controlled all of the Sentinels in the defence system, but was heavily gaurded. they moved in to destory the conduit, when they received a COM transmission from the HSNC Capitol ship Brute Crusher . They were under attack and had only 15 minutes before the Sentinels destroyed them. Now in a race, the SPARTANS and Forerunner Guards rush to the conduit center when Golden Sentinel Elites massing in the thousands descended upon them. Taking cover, your player watches as two of his teammates stay in the open to save their fellow SPARTANS and newly found allies (in coop, one of the four guards stays behind) as they are torn apart by the Sentinel beams. the remaining SPARTANS rush forward all armed with SPNKr Rocket Launchers taking out Sentinels 10 at a time. but it is not enough and sprint to the controls, plant a C13 plastic explosive on the conduit, and sprint back to your player (all within 3.6 seconds due to their augmentations). they set off the explosives and watch in excitement and satisfaction as the Sentinel army before them falls to the ground in a useless heap of metal. the SPARTANS and their battle scarred ship return to Earth, thinking that their worries were over. but little did they know, members of the Sangheili council are planning something secret and deadly to the already weakened Humans and their loyal Sangheili allies.
- End of 2nd game - (third game pending i need ideas though)

Oh forget it no one is posting so ill just continue on my own.

You and MC get out of the ship and reporters flock around you trying to get a statement. You say 'I thought there wouldn't be any cameras' (Halo 2 and its great quotes *sigh*) MC looks at you, laughs then the cutsecene is over. you are back in Fort *my last name* (i won't post my last name on here cuz that's dumb i will if this thing gets read by Bungie and they try to strike a deal though) and are relaxing when all of a sudden you feel a tremor. MC tells you to get to the Command Building ASAP. you set off and when you leave your barracks, Covert Sangheili attack you. fend them off then continue on. when you get there, the MC will tell you that you and your squad are being sent off to take out the renegade Sangeili ship. then, you go to the hanger area and fight your way to the Albatross (a Pelican on steroids) so that you can destroy the ship. go into a cutscene and as you are all getting on the Albatross you get a COM from HSNC high command on a secure link. they tell you not to destroy the ship but clear it out and capture the Bridge Personnel to get some intel. it switches to the outside of the Albatross and shows it dogfighting its way to the ship against Banshees and Phantoms. One of your engines are hit and you and your squad get split up jumping out of the ship to get into Great Cleansing (name of the renegade ship.). you land in the little dorm type thing of a Sangeili Minor. he hears you get in but you turn on your active camo (a new feature in the Mark VII) and hide. you attack him from behind then run out of his room. when you exit, you get a COM from your squadmates saying to meet up in the Cargo Bay. you gat a waypoint on your HUD and fight your way to the Cargo Bay. when you get there, you see that the rest of Gold Team is waiting for you. (on coop you all start in different locations anyway so ull arrive at diferent times like in single) you then make ur way around patrols and guards with your new camo and proceed to the Bridge. you get in, and capture the personnel there. cutscene: your squadmates command the captain to tell the remaining crew on the ship to surrender. they do, then you pilot the ship into Earth's orbit. when you land you get a signal from HSNC command of another Forerunner city, this time, they found thousands of Forerunner in cryo sleep (thanks to the help of the Forerunner Elite Guards). When you get there, you see that it looks a lot like the Forerunner Fortress world Onyx. when you revive the Forerunners, they tell you that there is a 'cartographer' on the northern end of their world. when you get there, the cartographer displays all the Fortress Worlds made by the Forerunner. MC sees Onyx and remembers something about Blue Team being there. when he looks at its status he sees that it says damaged. (this could suggest that Onyx's little Slipspace core is a part of Onyx and that the world isn't technically destroyed. A forerunner looks at the trajectory of the core and sees that it is heading slowly (for Slipspace) to what is left of Harvest. You and MC go to Harvest alone on an Albatross. he tells you that these people they are going to try and save were the people he fought with much like your Gold Team. he also says that Gray Team was located in a system not too far from where Harvest was. he thinks that they may be able to help if they are still alive. you enter cryosleep. when you wake up, you see that MC is still in his pod, leaving him be, you go to the bridge to find that you have arrived at Harvest and that someone was sending a signal. it said: Oly, Oly, Oxen Free.
- End of 3rd Game -

Thinking back , you remember that this was a call signal the SPARTAN IIs used to give an all clear sign. you respond, telling the senders that the Master Chief is in cryo sleep and that you are a SPARTAN IV. they respond, saying that there is no SPARTAN IV program. then you remember that Blue Team was in a slipspace core and wouldn't receive any intel or info. and Gray Team was stranded and left for dead. you ask for Kelly and a girl that appeared to be a couple years older than you pops up on a video messege. "how do you know my name?" she asks. then the MC comes from behind you and says, "it's good to see you again Kelly, how's Will?" Kelly looks down in guilt. "John," she says, "Will's dead." MC is visibly shocked then tells Kelly to go to Harvest's surface so that they can pick them up.she explains to MC when they are together what happened on Onyx and about how they found Kurt, a SPARTAN II that was presumed dead but instead was found and made Lt. Commander to train the SPARTAN IIIs. she also told him that they tried to find Gray Team but when they saw them on a derelict Pelican, they were all dead from lack of food and water. they died in their cryo pods. (well that was a long cutscene) after the conversation, they decide to return to Reach, the home of the SPARTAN IIs. upon arriving there, MC picks up signals of over 3,000 Sentinels on the surfaceof the planet. You, John, Kelly, Fred, and the SPARTAN IIIs land on Reach and start fighting their way to the barracks where the SPARTANs were trained. after making it to the barracks, Kelly breaks down and gets all depressed. she is mortified at what the Covenant did here and tries to remember what their home looked like, but can't and is overwhelmed by the scorched ground that was smooth as glass. some how, the barracks were left intact, so MC and Lt. Fred (funny name) decided to bunk there until they found a way to destroy the Sentinels.... (I ran out of ideas, sugesstions plz.

I know what you mean this is just a brief summary of the games and the third isn't done yet.

"Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind." - Albert Einstien

Well, I haven't read it but the title itself sounds interesting. Ill be reading it for the next few minutes.

Anyone who thinks it is too short should realize that these things can be fleshed out to hundreds of pages and can go through alot of changes, I know from when I tried to make a base storyline for a game project.

After reading the first one, I stopped. You may have made a vital error right off the bat, and that is bringing MC back instantly. If you did this, his sacrafice for humanity would be pretty negligible and less meaningful. I would recommend maybe changing the discovery of MC to the second, or even the 3rd game... sort of a giant plot twist or whatever. I like plot twists, and usually so do the gamers.

then who would train the SPARTAN IVs... oh and towards the end of the 3rd the rest of Blue Team, the SPARTAN IIIs, and Dr. Halsey are found in Onyx sphere (details as to how are unknown...) and don't say that Onyx was destroyed cuz evry1 knows that they were traped in this thing in the middle of Onyx in a slipspace thing or sumthin

Any of the other active spartans that aren't on Onyx... like use a spartan who is on a mission that has been, up till now, too far to be called back easily.

That could work. MC is just... well we have had too much of him I think.

here i added a part of a game and btw, you don't play as MC he is now an AI.

  • 01.10.2008 3:37 PM PDT

It IS as bad as you think and they ARE out to get you.

I doubt that there is any way for someone outside of the Onyx "shield" to find where it is, never mind get inside. Blue Team would have to do something major from the inside.

well, we never really grasped all of the Forerunners abilities, so who knows how advanced their radar is. and maybe Blue Team triggered something and they didn't realize it.
