I've been looking at countless threads throughout my time here, with some of them being about members wanting a "Sent Folder." I thought this was a good idea (and still do), but I think it needs a little work.
This is what the current Message Center looks like. We do not have an option for a sent folder. The only way we can find out what we said to someone is for that someone to quote us (which usually doesn't happen). We also have the option to select a message(s), and either delete it, or block the user who sent it.
My proposal is to add in an extra section. "The Folder Center" if you will. This "center" would be under the number of pages we have of private messages, and above all of our messages.
As you can see, there is the "sent folder" that everyone has wanted, but there are two other options: "New Folder," and "Other Folders."
"New Folder" means that you have the option to create a new folder{s}. This option will help sort out and organize PMs you have received. For example, if I just created a group, and I just sent a bunch of PMs out to the members of that group, I would want a new folder to keep those messages sorted from other messages.
After I have created and named this folder (4 folders max), I will have to click "Other Folders" in order to get to that particular folder. Now, I can either click the folder I want and enter it, or I can select the messages I want in my main folder, check the box by the folder I want the messages to go to, then go down to the bottom and select "Move All."
When I click "Move All," obviously the messages which I have checked will move to the folder I have selected.
I feel as though this would be a great addition to the Bungie.net website, and I hope you all do as well.
Naturally all feedback is welcome, just please give an explanation as to why you feel the way you do. Also, no flaming please.Just an update. I think I should tell everyone that I sent this to Skiptrace (Bungie.net Web Tester) and he replied:Posted by: Skiptrace
I moved on to IT a while ago but i've sent the message and link on to the current web team. Good luck Duardo.
Hopefully this idea of mine will actually become a reality (or a variation of the idea).
Thanks for all of the positive comments guys!
Also, any feedback (both positive or negative) is welcomed.
Thanks.
