If you have the money, pick up an ipod. Other wise get a $80,or pretty damn good, cd player, some blank cds, and download itunes to download tunes(hahaha, I need to write that one down).

Dude, I got the Archos AV140 for $199

It has video playback, mpeg4 encoding, Tv-input for a/v recording, microphone, 40-gig HD, and can store any file - it acts as an external hard drive so you can just drag and drop stuff. It's loaded...did I mention it's really cheap?

I was about to mention the RCA RD2780 A/V Jukebox. It does all the same things except it's only 20 gigs and it's about $250-300. But I think I'm gonna look up that Archos. ;o)

I checked it out. If you'd point me to where you found it for $199 because the versions I saw were $350.

The iriver 40 gig is the best MP3 i have seen on the market, and yes, ive listened / used ipods and creative zen micros for the day at school before, before deciding what i thought was the best.
And i dislike ipods because they look too... plain. - and iTunes didnt work on his pc, so i have to copy all his music onto my iRiver, put it on my computer, install and use his itunes thing, then put it onto his ipod. bah.
