This is a RETICULE, and that is a RETICLE. I'm using the latter to aim. And what are you using?

I just wanted to play Halo:PC online a bit. I hit the "Join Internet Game" button, and my firewall popped up, containing this message:

I haven't experienced that before, and I didn't update my firewall nor the game recently (after having patched the game to 1.06, of course, but that was more than a week ago). So what the hell is ~f1d055.tmp ???

Any help/explaination highly appreciated.

I guess it's a temporary file created by Halo.

Well, I ran a complete system check by now and it's definitly not a virus, worm, or something else. I started the game again and nothing like that happened this time. Still I wonder: why create that temporary file now, but not 90% of the time I'm playing? With something like that you can really scare the -blam!- out of someone who fell pray to a mean -blam!- of HDD-nuking virus once.

Actually (~f1d055.tmp) is in your Fire wall if you dont want it to happen again go into your firewall settings there shold be a place where you can tell it to allow Halo to access the net at any time

Halo can access the net any time. It can access it since I installed Halo more than a year ago, otherwise I would not have been able to play it online. And no, I did NOT change the firewall since then.
