*Halo 3 playlist skill level stats

*Halo 3 prgress bar for each playlist

Halo 2 had it so why arent we getting it for Halo 3? Theres a lot of fancy schmancy stats as it is but the most interesting IMO is missing.

Halo 3 doesn't have the same leveling system Halo 2 did. In Halo 2, it could be shown with a bar because the system was linear. Now, it's determined by a number of variables and how well you play, not just "You win a game, you get this much, you lose a game, you lose this much." A bar for the Halo 3 levels just wouldn't make sense.

Halo 3 does not have a stat progress bar because players do not rank up like they did in Halo 2. There is much more to ranking up than simply winning games.

I would still think you could have a percentile measurement between ranks though. The main difference between Halo 2 and Halo 3 is how that bar fills up (speed and whatnot). It wouldn't be a consistent addition to the bar, but it would be nice to know sometimes.

Exactly, there has to be set-points....although I have to admit that it feels hella random. Im very interesting on seeing it on paper since I CANT level up depsite of how much im winning. And zag, this isnt really halo 3 related since its about the site.

Once you reach a certain point, and the game "feels" comfortable that it knows your typical performance level, the amount of game-to-game improvement in your stats plays a significant role in ranking up. You can't predict improvement on such a scale; a progress bar could never work.

All im interested in is a bar that shows if anything has happened from the previous game. Im not looking for a bar where I can look and see amount of games needed for the next level etc. Its not like the system, assuming that its working which I along with thousands of others doubt, is randomely adding 20 levels to a player to make sure that he/she has the correct level. You are giving the system way too much credit, it shows more what you are incapable of rather than what the system is capable of. I suggest that you take a couple of classes in higher math and statistics on Uni level before you start questioning random posters seeing that they might have actually done that before posting. Everything can be calculated through formulas, I highly doubt that Bungie/M$ has implemented chaos theory into this system.

Although this belongs in the Halo 3 Forum.

Actually it belongs in the Optimatch Forum.

It would stop people saying "WTF I WON 3 GAMES AND I DIDNT RANK UP WTF BUNGIE".

'cause nothing is more convincing than threats and insults...

I'm fully aware of what the system does, and does not, measure. I don't need some e-Punk to try to beat into me their analysis, especially one that originally asked how the system functioned.
