I'm, tired of people immediately going to the assumption that someone is a "fanboy" because they think the game is awesome. Seriously, now when you try and defend Halo3 in an actually true sense, the person saying the game sucks calls you a "fanboy" and completely disregards what you said because you were called that, which in retrospect is really stupid when you think about it. What i find funny is that it is the antagonistic person's "Get Out of Jail Free Card," such as when you totally prove them wrong on their topic and then they say "fanboy" and prattle on like nothi ng ever happened. It's ridiculous and has really nothing to do with arguments. Thoughts anyone? Also, lets try and be serious, alright.
*No flaming or retarded comments, only legit arguments.*

You can't just ban one word. even if you did, people would just bypass the -blam!- filter and type it anyway...What's the point. I don't think that f c k should be filtered. It says on the bottom of the screen " M mature for blood and gore, mild language and violence..." What defines mild language? how do we define that saying damn is worse than saying -blam!-? How do we decide what we cn and can not say? filtering some vulgarity requires the filter of all vulgarity, and that, my friend, creates a conformist community with no colorful and exciting vocabulary at all. Just think about it....would this forum be fun with:

"Oh Darn!" "I forgot to load my gosh darn pistol!" "Eat an egg, jerk!"

HELL NO! The world needs cursing and vulgarity to make things more exciting. That's what I think -blam!- the -blam!- filter
and -blam!- you, noobs :D

I am a Floodian

Fanboy is more often used to indirectly describe another community entirely, such as Sony Defense Force. However, the words, "noob,""nub,""nublet,""noo bie," and so on, can only be used in a negative connotation. Also, "noob" is a much more relative term than fanboy is. Fanboy can actually be backed up with a users comments, or by using information from another site.

Ex. fanboy
New Player, lvl 20 says, "What's better the BR or the AR?"
MLG Hardcore, lvl 700 goes, "WTF NOOB, YOU STUUPID"

Obviously that is only a silly question to the hardcore player because he is a freak of nature.

Ex. fanboy
New Player, lvl 20 says, "Call of Duty 4 or Halo 3?"
MLG Hardcore, lvl 700 replies "WTFBBQ HALO 3 ROX YOU SuX!!!"
New Player, lvl 20 replies, "Fanboy."

Whether or not it might be slightly offensive, it's still objective, and a true statement.

At the end of the war. Nothing remains but a few Spartans. We are the only ones left. We are the Last Defence.

You guys always get so technical over nothing and then fight over it. Fanboy regardless of its use is just a word. It's criticism and it's something you have to deal with. You can't go around censoring every word there is with a negative connotation or because of its use. People will always criticize and make fun of other people, if you censor they'll just think of another word. Just be tolerant and be the better person, who gives a -blam!- what others think, especially if no one likes them.

I agree with you totally there. The thing is, and who would have ever thought it, when Burger King became banworthy, well you know you're in uncharted waters.
