Owners of the Katana: A place for those who have a Katana or over 1000GS in Halo 3.

Somewhere out there... in an alternate reality... Marty decided to stay in the ad jingle business, bringing about an age of amazingly orchestrated Pampers commercials.

There is HALO PC and and Xbox Connect.

They would have to rewrite the entire networking code so id say they wont do this. They should though.

The problem is no one would play except for a few people who dont jump onto the bandwagon.

The necessary recoding can be contracted out. Making it compatible for both xbox and 360 will keep those who havent upgraded in the loop. People who are banned from halo 2 & 3 will also want something to play. It would be a problem with a lot of nubs complaining about how ugly it is compared to the later releases. I think it's a grand little exercise to undertake, giving those who werent able to play via lan's a chance to do so after work.

It's just a far more enjoyable game, it gave birth to serious tricking, launching and glitches and it should be remembered in online form. No game has really grabbed me like halo1 and i am not a game player per se. it's just a hell of a lot of fun.

Bungie has said it doesnt want to go back, understandable, but playing games on a pc (yes i know xbox's are technically a pc) makes me feel kinda dirty inside.

Which is in no way what a true Xbox Live-enabled multiplayer experience would be, however, it's not going to happen anytime soon.

Love you Bungie!
Still playing Halo1 Custom Edition!

Well if they asked a company like let's say Gearbox that did the original PC port, they could ask that random company to upgrade Halo 1's graphic, fix remaining bugs add 4~5 new maps and release it cross platform between the computer and the 360, giving it H2V's HEK( totally unlocked) to give playing AND modding a new strain.

Easier said than done.

You guys do realize that if they remade it, it would most likely be "fixed" right? The strength of the pistol would be gone, as well as many other glitches.

And are you implying that's a good thing?

Looking at the sequels, I wouldn't be totally shocked if they decided to ruin the original as well, but I don't necessarily know that they would have to. The people who want a remake the most are the people who wouldn't want them to change it. It doesn't make sense to me why they would do that, but they do a lot of things that I don't think makes sense. Are you saying that the power of the pistol is a glitch? Halo glitches were never as bad Halo 2 glitches anyway. If they got rid of real glitches, I wouldn't have a major problem with that anyway. If someone other than Bungie did the remake, which is what I would expect, I can't see them messing with the game too much though.
