I think you all are complaning to much about the battery life for the PSP. It's not made for the casual gamer. Sony aiming more toward the hard core -blam!-es. Which means that there are willing to spend more money for hardware and want to take full advantage of its capabilities.

The "hardcore -blam!-es" don't play games for only three hours, they play a lot longer than that.

Yes, but handhelds aren't made to be played for hours on end(excluding plane rides/train rides). That's what home consols are for. Consols/PCs are what hardcore -blam!-es play their games on for hours on end. Also, you didn't look at what I said,

Willing to spend more money for hardware meaning getting an extra battery pack, car adapter, and good caring case if one isn't already owned or needed(but it is).

We’ve watched while the stars burned
Out, and creation played in reverse.
The Universe freezing in half-light.
Once I thought to escape.
To end a master, step out of the
Path of collapse. Escape would make us God.
Yet I cannot help but remember one enigma,
A hybrid, elusive destroyer.
This is the one mystery I have not solved.
The only element unaccounted for.

Ah, but you forgot about the touch screen, voice recognition, built in wireless play, and blue tooth compatability (allowing you to connect at any hot spot) for the DS. Shame on you!

Ah, but you don't pay attention to the PSP. It has a giant screen and an analog stick. The PSP also has WiFi and can "link up" to other people in hot spots.
