Hi. I've made a dedicated server to which anyone physically connected to my router can join. My question is why can't anyone else join? They can see my server in the list, but can't connect. I'm running HaloDS on a dedicated machine, with firewall ports 2301, 2302 and 2303 open. I'm not running any instance of Halo on that machine at the same time, and it's updated to 1.06. Help?

Heyyo,

Odds are, it's your router. Not only do you need to open ports on your firewall, BUT also on your router. So read into how you do it, all I know is my SMC7004VBR, which's you go to http://192.168.2.1 default pass for it is smcadmin... so yeah, check into it. ;)

Thanks MarD, unfortunately since I'm staying at my g/f's at the moment I can't access their router settings coz whoever set it up put a password on it, needless to say that person aint around and probably couldn't remember the password anyway. But I'm heading home in a few days to my router (And my 1.1MB/s DSL... this house only has 256KB/s shared over 3 comps :S) so I'll imagine it'll work there. Thanks again.
