If this is off topic or considered about specific users im sorry disregard this, im just curious

But I have always wondered since i created my account several years ago exactly who the mods are?
Do they work directly for bungie?
or are they users that started on this site long ago and earned enough trust from bungie to get mods. And do they get paid?

at any given time there is usualy a mod online, i do know some are directly bungie staff, but their "ranks" show that. Im only curious to there motifs.

And the Shadow fell upon the Land, and the World was riven stone from stone. The oceans fled, and the mountains were swallowed up, and the nations were scattered to the eight corners of the World. The moon was blood, and the sun was as ashes. The seas boiled, and the living envied the dead. All was shattered, and all but memory lost, and one memory above all others, of him who brought the Shadow and the Breaking of the World. And him they named Dragon.

The mods are usually just normal users who were selected to moderate the forums.

Normal! Woo, good one!

OP, the ninjas are mostly B.net members sprinkled in with a few Bungie employees who share in the moderating duties.

My YouTube Channel. Just getting into the Machinima business.

Moderators have been on Bungie.net for a long time. They are abducted and chained to computer screens with little to no sunlight. The method of abduction is still a mystery. "It will moderate the fourms or it will get the hose again." is often what they hear if they try and sign out. I do believe that there are some days where they see a little bit of light, as sometimes they are in a particularly happy mood.

* How is it that "Fat Chance" and "Slim Chance" mean the same thing?
* If you choke a Smurf, what color will it turn?

Shishka got A LOT of sun light then.

Moderators were abnormally skilled in the tactics of Karate, jujitsu and 74 other deadly words. Among other things they were also masters of the language arts. Speaking with long, well thought out posts, or short, straight to the point, stabs.

That would be breaking the rules. =/
What kind of people would we be if anyone did that?

Phrog pilots, reckless and free. We would strap into our birds, set the engines on fire, and leave these earthly bonds with a chorus of WHOP WHOP WHOP. Akin to beating your chest and howling in defiance at the rest of the world.
