I've been a Halo fan from the release of the first game and I've been a very regular visitor to the site, but I rarely post in the forums. There's just too many people on here and half the stuff posted doesn't end up getting read, but I just have to get my opinion on this matter out there.

One thing I have noticed from a few months ago is Forge Hub seems to be getting alot of publicity from Bungie? When they launched they got on the front page, when they released their top 2007 maps they were on the front page, and now they are mentioned in another front page news story today...Who from Forge Hub bribed Bungie for all these front page mentions? FH surely wasn't the first Forge site on the internet, and they definitely aren't the only Halo Nation community out there.

So here is what I propose to Bungie: Share the love guys! Why not feature different communities each week and help some sites get some of the spotlight? One of Bungie's biggest statements is that they are there for the community. They're probably on their game more than other devs out there are on theirs and they do stay involved. If you want to help the community out why not spotlight more than just 1 community.

If this is read by anyone I appreciate you taking the time.

Strange evolution how people have come to believe

They do take the time, but you have to realize that there are probably 100's if not 1000's of Halo related sites out there. They take the best of the best for their spotlights.

There are several communities that have received recognition over the years. Forge Hub is just the latest and greatest. There will be others to come, but finding sites that are professional, updated, well organized and un-biased isnt easy to do. On top of that, I dont think Bungie has someone dedicated to finding and advertising community sites. Its more along the lines of if they stumble across something cool, they'll let you know.

Thats my take on it anyway.

It's a rare occasion that they ever come up with a new community to spotlight. It doesn't take time to dedicate 10 min each week to spotlight a new community.

On the front page alone I can see references to Halobabies.com, Forge Hub, Redvsblue, and clantacular.com.

I've looked, and finding communities that aren't over opinionated, updated, free from pop-up pr0n adverts, mature, useful, etc isn't an easy task. I would rather they point me in the direction of something useful instead of pointing me towards some guy who threw up a site a year ago with the help of an html for idiots guide and focused on whether the hit zones for the elite and spartan player models are the same and/or different.

Like, I said, just my opinion, but I'm satisfied with the choices they make.

Those sites have been the same sites Bungie points to in their front page stories for years. Notice I said new communities.

Nice I didn't even know about that. It's probably a long shot that anything would get posted, but it's worth a try.

Good to see some more opinions on the matter.

Bungie should share the love on the front page with other communitiesWhy? It's their site; let them do with it as they please.

Sure it's their site, but they claim to be supporting the Halo Nation communities out there and they are only supporting a few select communities.

Perhaps these are the only communities that Bungie wants to associate its name with?

I think that's a slap in the face of themselves if they only see about 6 communities that spawned from a game they created noteworthy enough to associate themselves with.

yur a moron, so let me explain it to you.

Search google for halo communities.

It returns 1.36 MILLION results.

lets say that only 10% are legit sites. Thats 136k. And maybe .001 percent of those are really good interactvie updated sites.

It takes a special community to get on there. Also we don't want 5 million communties there, because only the top elite deserve it.

Also it's bungie's site, so those sites should feel fortunate to be there.

I would've never seen forgehub if it wasn't for bungie, so I thank them for that.

Just because they claim they support the other Halo communities doesn't mean they should advertise for them...there's a big difference between supporting something and helping something.

You call me a moron when you don't use proper grammar and spelling? You might want to watch it before you look like a retard.

There are thousands of awesome Halo sites out there and I made a legit argument that Bungie should share the spotlight with other sites out there. If you don't want to contribute to the convorsation then you can just kindly leave my thread.
