i was having problems with my new Nvidia video card.. graphics were a bit glitchy, and someone recommended i downgrade my drivers. that seemed to help.. but now when im playing on 343 Guilty Spark, i can't see the movie that MC sees through the one soldier's helmet. all i can see is the text on the bottom that says Play, FF, etc. is there a happy medium as far as Nvidia drivers go without messing up the game?

what are the specs of your card, what is its driver version, what DirectX or OpenGL version do you have, and what operating system do you have?

I have an NVidia GeForce 4200 Ti with 64MB RAM and their latest graphics drivers (Nvidia ForceWare version 66.93) and i have no probs whatsoever. I also have the latest DirectX drivers (version 9.0c), and my operating system is Windows XP Home with SP2 and all the required and reccomened updates.

Halo is a DirectX game so naturally ATi cards are always going to fare better. Bare that in mind if you're planning on upgrading for Halo 2 or Half-Life 2 or in fact the majority of new games.

what? ATI is the one who was having problems with DirectX 9.0 compatibility! don't listen to Skippy, he don't know what hes talking about. ATI has better hardware than NVidia, aka faster clock speeds and more rendering power, however, they have compatibility issues with older games and the new DirectX versions. Untill they clear up their compatibility issues, im stickin with NVidia, nada an issue ever with my older games or my new ones.
