You guys have a serious problem with the Files sections.
Namely, the whole community is full of retards, but I'll try to make a point that isn't obvious.
I think post deleting, aggressive banning, no- make that MASS banning and troll suppression would be a nice way to stop letting the top Bungie favorites in each category become the file that was most heavily spammed and praised by the same person 4,000 times.

All I can think of is how many people made really, REALLY good screenshot threads today, and were drowned by the trolls. The current system is acceptable, sure- but the pictures that end up in Bungie favorites are usually created by trolls, rated and downloaded by trolls, and a large number of them are actual pictures of trolls.

No, I mean like, look at their Spartan- he really does look like a troll. Some of 'em are good, but Bungie worthy? Not most of em.
So, basically I'm asking if your moderators are allowed to ban at will? You should let them, and they should play 'ban the retard' as if it were a local sports event. Seriously, you could have like, competitions between the mods to see who gets the most bans. It would be epic-

Moderators should definitely have two buttons right next to "reply," one that bans the perp in question, and one that removes all knowledge of his existence ever.
Maybe a random button that does unexpected things like getting you coffee or singing the battle hymn of the republic.

Whisper Game Studios - shhhh, it's a public secret.

Bnet PM Policy

[*Please note that anything in my posts is likely to be filled with sarcasm, and should be taken with a pinch of salt. I tend to help people, usually*]

I completely agree. I'm not sure how it ends up working, but I know that some of the things chosen (or automatically put onto it) have been some of the most bizarre things ever. I can understand some of the maps, with ease, but there are defintely better pictures out there. I once saw a Red Spartan with a Spartan Laser...just standing there...and it was a Bungie Favourite...

I think way the system of content-putting on B-Favourites works can sometimes mess up.

If you don't got it, you want it. If you got it, you want more of it. Of course if you don't know what it is, it's hard to get any in the first place.

Aggressive No Bumping, no linking policy would be a start...

I think it's automated 90% of the time or more, possibly always.
Screenshots are the only files I frequent, so I don't know about the other sections, but the trolling in Screens is obvious, and the boosting even more so.

There's been days I come in here and people are all posting crappy screens, so the forum is slow, little trolling.
Post a good screenshot though, and oh, here they come.

The trolling is obviously connected to the boosting. These guys are flooding the boards intentionally, and then boosting their screens afterward.
Gee, it's kind of like the lifeless scum who do that on Xbox Live. : /

E: Aggressive No Bumping, no linking policy would be a start... They already have this. They should enforce with first time perma-bans.

They have that policy in place, but the moderators have little incentive to ban every single thread that bumps. *hint*: there are a lot of them.
