It SOUNDS like graphic artifacts, which normally is put down to graphic cards over-heating or graphics cards failing. If the card itself is failing it should be evident in all 3d applications (if you use Vista and use the Aero theme, it should also show on there!).

Do you know the temp the card is running at? You could try cleaning all the dust (if there is any) from inside the pc and graphics card (they tend to clog up around any fans and heat channels) and seeing if they go away?

If it isn't the GPU overheating, it might be your card turning on a few Antialiasing settings on, like my new 8600 GT did. Halo PC/CE doesn't play nice with AA at all, so it might be worth your time to check any game profiles your card keeps.

Thanks for the help, but Im not very big on Hardware termonology, the thing is, I play WoW (World of Warcraft) another 3D game that accesses my card, but it runs with no problem, Ill have to see if I get that problem in Farcry, and It didnt start doing this, I installed Halo PC about 1 year ago, so I was playing it instead of the last few months of H2, when I got my 360 I played other games, Then Halo 3, Its been about a year now, and my 360 is now headed to MS for repair, and Im trying to pick up where I left off, (Now that I have WoW also) while my 360 is gone.. I booted up Halo for the 1st time in abput 7 months 2 days ago and I get this problem, sometimes its not bad just the occasional burst, and sometimes, like last night, it was unbearable.

You're comparing two very different games that run on two very different engines. I'm afraid your system is probably low end.

Well, I knew that, I just bought my PC, it is new, but I still havent Upped the Graphics card, I have enough RAM just basic Graphics abilities, what suprises me though is it worked absolutly fine to begin with, and I played FEAR and Farcry last night, both flawless, and the game compatabliity list for my Card has halo on the list as works flawlessly, which it did when I installed it 10 months ago

It ran smoothly no bumbs or cracks all perfectly textured, no lag, or graphical problems smooth gameplay all the way through, even online.
I know my PC isnt a high end gaming PC but it used to run Halo flawlessly. I have a 32-bit windows vista system with an intel chipset of some kind. I have 2GB of RAM, Basicly I should be able to run gears of war on my PC semi smoothly (If I had a better Graphics card)
