Halo PC/CE can now be considered a third person shooter as well.

You may already know, but with the help of Bitterbanana, somebody made it possible to have the camera angle placed behind the player. It doesn't stop there, however.

You can also place the camera to different sides and heights, adjust the zoom, and also modify your field of view. The field of view adjusting is cool, because you can adjust it for wider monitors, up to around 180 degrees.

It's found here.

You may not know this, but its also make for Halo 2

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Isn't it cheating? Seeing behind you gives a minor advantage over people using first person view.

Long live the Last Refuge!

I just like to use it becuase i can see my guys next to me and it keeps your fps higher. Trust me I've had some fps drops using the asssult rifle. With the 3rd person view mod i can't see me gun most of the time. So less effects i need to worry about.

Okay, I guess I'll leave that alone then. :P I saw the video of Halo as a 3rd person shooter. I guess people will use whichever view they want.

I'm not sure they make wide screens that wide.

Long live the Last Refuge!

you can see someone coming up behind you and you can zoom in and out from the spartan in the settings for it.

I keep mine at

2 Zoom

0.1Vertictle

0 Horizontal

70 degrees
1.22 radians

It keep my retacel at the right spot. He's the thing with the thrid person view mod you have to adjust the retacel to shot in the retacel. i doesn't do any changing when change views. So you have to do it in set up.

Why was this guy blacklisted?
In any case, i also sometimes use a FoV utility. Since Halo was originally a 90 degree fov on the xbox, I'm more comfortable with it like that : D
