Long live the Last Refuge!

Ok i found two things I really want for my PC

BFG - GeForce 7900 GS OC Graphics Card for $167.99

Then here's the other item i want.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Windsor 3.2GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 125W Dual-Core Processor for $169.99

which one should I get? I can only buy one since it would take about a year for me to get that much money. I should have $70 more bucks so i can buy it in march, april or may. I'll diffenly have it by the end may though.

EVGA 256-P2-N516-RX GeForce 7800GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Supported Video Card, it costs $99.99 The only one i can afford right now but It's out of stock and has no reviews

I would say don't get any of those, they are all really poor choices right now.

it would be helpful if you listed what video card and processor you currently have..

but i'm tempted to agree with the above poster, there should be new GPU's coming out within the next couple of months... even if you cant afford one of those newer ones, it will likely drive the prices of the 7 series cards even further down.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Do you have PCI-Express on your motherboard?

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Also, what type of processor is it?

Wouldn't the Nvidia GeForce 8600 be a good recommendation? It's below the $200 mark, right? I have an 8800 GT and it cost hundreds.

Exactly. Depending on the processor, I was going to reccomend the HD 3850.

I love mine, and have had no issues with it.

you can over clock proccessors how? And how high can you over clock the thing with a great fan

  • 01.21.2008 7:46 AM PDT

I dont know how and I dont care. How high? It depends on your cooling compound thing your fan and exact processor. Intel Core 2 Duos tympically tend to be excellent at overclocking
