My YouTube Channel. Just getting into the Machinima business.

Here´s something Ive always been wanting to ask, what justifies these kind of threads in here? Members in other forums are getting warned and directed to the classifieds left and right for trying to get a game going with other members but it seems to be ok in here as long as one or a few of the involved has been here for a while. This is about as interesting to me as it is watching paint dry. Members are playing together all the time but theyre not posting the results in a forum that is there to discuss site and group issues, neither are they using it as the classifieds (which is pointless since 90 % of the people in these games are always the same).

You can argue that its not hurting anyone and that its just for fun but in the end it isnt right when not everyone is allowed to do the same.

Having a bad day?

It's the review of a community event, not an advertisement. This is very beneficial to getting us all together as a community, it's not just "Join my clan!?" or "Sign up for this tournament!?" If Achronos and the rest have a problem with it, they can certainly let me know not to do this. I figure I'm following the same rules as others.

This forum is about the community, not just group problems and such. :D Just because more than half the forum-goers ignore this community forum, does not mean it has no purpose besides reporting site issues.

Lets me just start by saying that im not against these kind of things per see but I feel like its sending out the wrong message since Im pretty sure that it wouldnt be tolerated if there suddenly was 50 similar threads in here. In my book it just shows that the moderation is highly subjective, accumulative and collective.

I´ve kept two things in your reply that are more or less pointing at the same thing, bringing the community together. I know, like you pointed out, that only a few members, in relation to the sites population, are giving this forum any notice but I dont see how anyone is benefitting from pretty much the same 8 or ten people playing some custom games on a weekly basis, other than the people playing ofcause. Im pretty sure that this last run on sentence will be hitting me in the back but I can take it. Lastly (if that ever was a word), Im not making a big deal out of this and thats the reason to why I posted it here instead of saluting it under a new thread, still when I see something that i think is wrong I cant help myself.

Well, if there's one thing you should remember, the people who operate this website are human. If they want us to stop, we can, but honestly? It's just fun.

Actually, these are just the first two of many to come. We merely had some of the same people because it was a rematch, and I don't plan on playing in the next ones for a long time. In fact, I invite you to sign up next time we have them. ;) We'll get everyone in who wants to play.

I don't think this sends the wrong message to people who would post off-topic in other forums, since generally those people don't come here and see this. It's more for the "core" Bungie.net community. (Someone better not bug me about making that statement! You all know what I mean by 'core'.)

I hear you man and I understand what you mean by core. If Bungie´s not having a problem with it neither will I. I will even throw in the suggestion of having it more often so that more members can be involved. [/issue resolved and no hard feelings on my behalf]

I'll finish game 2 and 3 tomorrow, for some reason bungie is taking forever with screenshots and it took me well over an hour to do the first game.

Hopefully tomorrow bungie will be at full speed and it will make my life much easier.

Nice writeup, old boy. I need to remember to sign up for these a lot sooner. Not that the outcome would've changed even if I was there, mind you, but.....'tis all about fun, right?

Right? =(
