What possesed you to split a harddrive 10 ways? Do you need to boot 10 different operating systems? Doubtful. if you ever need to copy more than 12GB of data you're screwed. There is no advantage what so ever to splitting a drive other than to run two operating systems, such as linux and windows, or XP and windows 98.

if you don't have a partition big enough to install it then no, basically. Completely defeats the point of having a 120GB drive if you're going to cut it to pieces, it'd be cheaper to use a load of old 40GB drives with multiple IDE's, or like a pair of 80GB drives.

well, you'd help me more if you'd stop flaming me and read my posts instead. i allready have the game installed, means that my partitions are big enough (please note that 120/10=12 gigabye whereas Halo only needs ~1.5). what puzzles me is that it tells me that i don't have enough disc space after the installation, alltough i have about 5 gig free space on the same drive...

perhaps you have your paging file on that volume, and it is using some of the "free space"

Heyyo,

Do you have service pack 2? it tends to not like halo... also, make sure your "my documents" folder isin't read-only, and all subfolder and files aren't readonly.

It's actually only possible to split a single HD 7 ways... Three primary partitions and four extended, so I don't know where you get ten from... Unless you've got more than one HD that is...

Anyway, what I think is happening... Windows likes to make out that you have to have a minimum of 15% HD space free. Without this bare minimum of space, you can't defrag effectively and windows doesn't like you.

I would suggest finding some kind of disk management software and resize all of your partitions... and delete some! Nobody needs to have so many partitions, and if they do, they invest in more than one HD!

Acronis do a good piece of software for disk management... Failing that, I see a format in the distance.
