Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

I know one who plays CounterStrike with a touchpad...

Crazy. I tried playing Halo PC with one and it was incredibly hard.

  • 01.23.2008 12:14 AM PDT

For me it was fairly easy, I was 12-9 or so the other day with a controller.

Hello! Star Wars FTW. Also, join the MAW group. Please?

I don't even own a console or use on controller for gaming and I find trying to use a controller is extremely hard. I go over to freinds house's and what not to play halo 3, but I'll only play campaign becuase I got owned when playing against them.

I used to play America's Army on my laptop with a touch pad and I got really comfortable with it and I found the controls to be agreeable. It's basically using a mouse with one finger, like a thumb stick but better.

But playing CS with a touch pad is insane.

Most of the PC issues posted here are the result of PEBKAC.

I'm too impatient to finish the training section of America's Army.

But as far as gamepad vs keyboard goes, it's anyone's game. I know a guy who can get automatic headshots in Halo 2. It's like he's aimed there so much he knows how to move the reticule accurately. I've never been quick to say a person using a gamepad is inferior, because I've seen some people with great thumb control. It all depends on whether you want to use your wrist or your thumbs.

True that. I guess it all comes down to whatever controls you are comfortable with...

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time. I know who you are. You are destiny.

Not saying anything against console gamers, but I'm actually pretty damn good playing Halo and Halo 3 on XBox, not to mention the one time I played Halo 2 on XBox. I mean, I usually get ranks 1 to perhaps, what, 4? It's not my XBox anyways, so in b4 practice, bull-blam!-, etc.

Slaying noobs since 2007.

I agree with Kim, but you do have to ask yourself: "In the long run, what does it matter how much skill it takes to play a video game, and what in life will this gain me?"

Agreed, damn what i wish i was better at Starcraft =.=

Anyhoo we PC gamers have better control of our looking, and were not restricted to a Axis controller, so me thinks thats why were not screaming everytime somebody kills us=.=

also i wonder...
Starcraft Vs Halo who would win eh?

The Protoss rip-offs known as the Covenant and the headcrab imitators of the Flood have nothing on the Zerg, the coolest aliens ever seen in a video-game, period.

I know where you're coming from on the power trip comment, believe me.

Apparently, there's some way to connect your keyboard and mouse to your 360 without using that peice-of-crap XFPS. What I wouldn't give to use kb/m with Halo 3 and show those console "pros" how PC gamers roll.

Keep in mind that the Xbox 360 was never meant to support the mouse and keyboard and thus expecting to own those "console 'pros'" is like ignorant console gamers thinking they'll own people with the game pads in Halo PC, kindasorta.

Think back to your Halo 3 games, though. How much more ass would you have kicked if you were using the kb/m?

  • 02.01.2008 7:52 AM PDT

Heh, I thought Halo 3 was fast paced like Halo CE :X

It's funny, I grew up on using some sort of controller. But now my favored is the mouse and keyboard. And now I only game on a pc.

As for who's better? Who cares? Just go play your video games.

And btw, my 4 year old prefers a pc. Mouse, keyboard, and all. ;P

i think pc gamers are better, beacuse i learned how to use both controllers, and all my friends hae a horribly hard time using keyboard saying there are too many buttons. (i prefer keyborad)

"There are too many buttons!" Tch, it's not that big of a deal, seriously. That's like saying, "I don't know how to use my remote control for the TV, it has too many buttons compared to my other remote control which just has the ability to switch between channels, adjust volume, turn the TV off and on, and nothing more."
