Well, I had a good 1v2 match (me against two other guys) two nights ago, and of course, I recorded all of it, with the new space I got by uninstalling Half-Life2...which as you know, in order to have installed it, I needed to deleted 4 precious gigs of my previously recorded clips, that I recorded and saved up for months...I hate you Valve. I start editing the recently recorded clips into a little montage...but I'm stuck. I'm using Sony Vegas 7.0, and there's a little problem. Let me try and explain it thoroughly as best as I can; I'm too lazy to print a screenshot, post it up on photobucket, then posting the link here. (Btw, that's a major flaw in these forums; instead of allowing you to post a picture right then and there, we have to go through the uploading on a pichosting site process...)
Let's say there's a whole 1 min strip of clip I put onto the Sony Vegas' main timeline. I split the clip in two, then I split it again. So there are now 3 sections of the clip, 1 long strip, 1 short strip in between, and another long strip in the end. I want to add the blur effect ONLY to the short strip, but fate has it, that Sony saw it fit to frustrate its customers by blurring the entire 3 sections, I guess since they count as one whole "clip" or "video". I see no menus or right-click selections on how to allow only the middle strip to be blurred. So my question is (if you understand my situation), how can I achieve this without blurring the other two long strips?
Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty sure I knew how to do this a long time ago, I remember using those effects in my previous 1v1 montages...I even went back and checked to see how I did it in the first place, but thanks to having to install Counter-strike Source, and later, Half-Life2 a month earlier, I had to delete those clips...so all that 1v1 recordings with Lt Morris and tehford...GONE. I wouldn't have cared as much if cs:s and HL2 lived up to my freakin' expectations. Two worst games ever.
...so yeah, now that I have completely forgotten how to single out a certain strip, can anyone refresh my memory? Thanks in advance.
