If anyone has ever played an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) have realized, it’s just more of the same thing over and over again, yet we always buy what’s new. What drives us to continually buy the same thing? Do we really think there will be something new and interesting? The biggest innovation in MMORPG genre has been PlanetSide by Sony, also the creators of the first MMORPG, Everequest (which I am sure most of you have played). Kill, level up, Kill level up, it just more of the same old same old. But people are buying accounts of eBay for as much as thousands of dollars? Are we that crazy? And this is after paying a sticker price of o say, about eighty dollars and a monthly fee or about fifteen dollars American. I myself am guilty of buying almost ever MMORPG that has come out from EQ to Star Wars: Galaxies. They give us a huge burst of fun for about two months. If anyone would like to add, make fun, correct or any thing else you see fit to do, either PM if you have something you would like to talk about with me and if it’s something you think should be seen post it here

PS: This is just a rant.

Yes that is true, but, this is how are society has become morbidly obese, thinking a game can bring social pleasures

I hate MMORPGs. They should be renamed to "Massively Multiplayer Online Monotonous Levelling Games." Seriously, all you do is wander from dungeon to dungeon with other no-life folks killing demons and/or being killed by demons. The only good one was PSO... Oh wait, it's not even MM - only about 6 people on a server! And even that wasn't very good as the PC version has no monthly subscription fee...

The only MMORPG that has sparked my interest is Guild Wars because it's available as a free beta and THERE IS NO MONTHLY FEE!

PSO blows. Too much hacking and duping, not enough retaliation by Sonic Team.
