also, did you view the .bmp link that I provided? You have to enlarge it... But is says something about PCI express. Plus I bought this computer in November of '04 I'm guessing that's considered fairly new for computers.

PS: the AGP card that I tried to install wouldn't fit because it was about 3 or 4 CMs too long.

YEP! That's PCI-e. The DIMM just means the number of RAM slots you have.

So yeah, PCI express is what you need. Almost all computers made since last summer have PCI-e.

It says that there's enough room for 4 GB of RAM but I doubt I'll ever need more than 700 through out my PC's life time.
