Well that's neat! I just read the Bunge weekly update and their's proximity voicing. So, in other words. You could yell something on your mic. (I think this is how it goes) and the other people will hear were that voice came from! That's pretty cool! What do you guys think. (I hope I didn't interpret the update wrong, If I am, someone please correct me!)

Yeah, i just posted about it. I guess it's where you can yell at the opposite team if you get close enough to them.

That's what I'm thinking. It would be so funny running around their base. (you're on the red team and you say to the other team... "Suck it Blue!"

The closest thing I've ever seen to it is in Splinter Cell PT. When you're a spy and your choke a merc from behind, you can talk to them.

They have it in Rainbow Six 3. In sharpshooter mode, if you are within 15m of the person you can talk to eachother.

That would be cool with proximity voicing because then someone yells into their microphone, "Help! Over here," you'll actually have a better idea of where they are.

My thumbsticks will be your Doom.... sorry 'bout that.
My Stats

How can they give accurate sound placement???!!! especially if it's just thru the headset (which just has one speaker right?) ????
If the sound/voice comes in through the TV/Surround-sound-stereo-you-got-hooked-up, then i can understand. But if it's just through the headset, is it just proximity? or can they deliver a surrounding placement?

ummm... but mabye I read it wrong but this is what i got from the article.. that this proximity thing would be for like a message ur dude would say (like u prerecorded it) whenever u get close enough to somebody. . . . Now that i think of it, ur guys idea makes more sense. Anywho, cant u yell at them anyway?? (ive never used XBL before). like just go hey loser over hear, and everybody will here u?

This is a stupid idea. The spartans have an internal comm system that nobody else can hear. It just doesn't make sense. (I don't think this is what they meant anyway)
