I was looking at the group moderation abilities the other day and came across something that I feel should be changed to help benefit the "Temporary Blacklisting" permission. The description says, "Blacklist forum posters for short periods of time." However, with only that permission enabled you are allowed to "unleash ninjas" for 7 days, but cannot "unleash ninjas" for 3 days.
Changing this permission to allow 3 day and 7 day bans would help improve group moderation and give group forum ninjas more options. For instance, when the group founder or administrator is not present and only representatives that have this permission are trying to run a group, problems begin to arise due to the limitations of disciplining members.
There are no warnings, unless you were to manually PM the user and notify them of their wrong doing. So overall, I don't see a specific reason as to why persons with only "Temporary Blacklisting" are restricted to giving 7 day suspensions. It would be very much appreciated if this permission could possibly be changed to enable further leneniency. I am very open to feedback and would like to hear opinions from the community as well, if they are willing to share. Thank you for your consideration.
