I got Ghost Recon 2 a while back. its nothing like it should have been.
First off, the "action packed" missions flat out suck. They throw you into a war zone, where bullets are wizzing everywhere, and you're supposed to lead your team through. The problem is, the gameplay is meant for stealthyness. This totaly messes things up, like when theres a group of 10 guys running over a hill, and your proned in a bush with a machine gun, and because of the aiming throw off when you move to fast, you can only take out about 3 before your whole team is dead.
Its realistic, yes, but its not fun or entertaining. The old ghost recons where all about picking off enemies from afar, and moving in to wipe out the survivors. In GR 2, its all about moving through linear streets, getting pinned down, and eventually getting gunned down. It took me about 13 tries to finally beat the first mission!
but online is absolutely gorgeous. leaning, peeking, proning, sniping. its all so beutifully exicuted its worth the 65 bucks (canadian) to get. too bad single player sucks.
