The topic says it all. I just bought a 24" monitor thats native resolution is 1920x1200. I'm trying to get Halo CE for PC to run at this resolution. I have tried using the following in the command line:

-use20 -vidmode 1920,1200,60 -screenshot

But it seems to max out at 1600x1200 which stretches everything width wise (eg the crosshair is oval instead of round). Is it possible or is it time to shelf this one?

Thanks

Hello! Star Wars FTW. Also, join the MAW group. Please?

I'm in the same situation, so I'd be interested if an answer arose, but I know of no work around. But hey, just becuase you can't run it at max resolution doesn't mean it's not worth playing anymore!

Use Yelo to make the HUD stretch. Halo PC didn't really ever support 1680x1050, but they added it in for wide screens. I'd be surprised if you got it to work, but it probably wont.

I'm not familiar with "Yelo", could you elaborate a little more or provide a link. I'm not able to find anything pertaining to resolutions or stretching by searching google for yelo.

EG: 1st link

"Yelo is an entirely new concept in wellness. It is a sanctuary designed to help urbanites deal with the pressures of modern life through a unique combination of sleep and reflexology massage treatments." :)

Bummer, I just bought Halo 2 for PC which does support 1920 - but I'm not crazy about the game. I didn't think it was possible to have a slower game than Halo 1 but Halo 2 makes Halo 1 seem fast paced heh. Plus that god awful "Live" login - I wanted to pull my hair out after an hour or so of trying to create a live account. I don't own any consoles so that was my first experience with live and I must say that I will do anything in my power to never have to deal with live again. Reminded me of the Half-Life 2 install that took me 9 hours because of encryption and bogged down steam servers - never will I touch another "Steam Powered" game.

O well, I guess I'll have to wait another 5 years or so before I get to try Halo 3 :\

And Bungie, I beg you - please, please, please - make a traditional multiplayer button and a separate live button - that way I never have to click on it :)

I've always used TocaEdit to extend the FOV, it works fine and you can choose how far back or in you want to see.
