I would have to agree with both of you. =D I think it's at least worth a try. If it doesn't get accepted, I still had fun making it. I've been working on this for several hours—though, admittedly, most of that time was spent on the preview pages. The images themselves only took 10-15 minutes each. Except, perhaps, the Infection Form. I had to color that because it was originally a concept sketch.

Do you think I should darken the rest to match? I'm thinking the others are fine as they are, but opinions vary. And the more of them I get, the better.

BTW, is the image I send supposed to look like this? (I left the bottom half bright because it's going to already have a dark layer over it.) Am I supposed to send them that along with the preview image so that they know where to place the text?

well i'm not fully sure what stosh preffers to see, i immagine he would preffer we use the theme builder (unfortunately some can't).
I personally took a blank page and added 3 layers to it
1.group header (like your "this?")
2.right sidebar
3.forum header
(one PSD)
and simply wrote what kind of text / color i preffer
Ultimately it will be up to him to decide (providing he uses your theme) what text or color goes with it.

Don't send 3 separate email or don't send 1 email with 3 attachments.
Just sent 1 PSD file with the 3 layers in it, and call the file...
"blah blah theme - by blah blah" oh and make sure your subject (of the email) is "Themes"
(no need for preview)

Okay, I think I've got it figured out. They'll probably need all of this to get the full effect, right? Let me know if I'm missing something.

Oh, and how do I get all of the images into one "PSD"? I don't have Photoshop and can't do layers—there were way more than three in that preview. Plus, I would have to start all over again. Can't I just slap them into one file and send them as a single attachment?

Saving PSD files from Gimp is tricky (assuming it's even possible). The only way would probably be to go to Save As and type ".psd" instead of the current extension.

Umm...
"slap them into one file..."
I think that will work. Basically put yourself in stoshs shoes...
the ammount of submissions he gets is pretty big, so the less work you give him in managing ppls stuff the better.
As far as Gimp... i donno
never used it o_O

worse come to worse just send and write a ps.
something along the lines... "plz reply or let me know if i missed something.
If i don't hear from you i assume it was ok."

I'm not too sure and i don't want to put words in stoshes mouth.
Maybe hold off a day or so and give him a chance to check / reply to this thread.
Once he views the latest replyes i'm sure he will comment if he doesn't agree with something, just remember he's quite busy, might be a while.

I don't think I'm going to be able to do it that way (sending it as a PSD). Couldn't I just send all the images as attachments? It would, of course, be in the same e-mail. Stosh does say in the initial post that you can send JPG's. That would mean I could send the images separately, right?

I don't know if I can do it all in one file. Stosh says no Zips. I don't know, however, if my file would be considered a Zip. It would just be a folder containing the six images I think necessary for the theme.

But, meh, I'll just try it that way. I'll include a note that I wasn't quite sure what to do, and that I can send it differently, should he desire.

That's what I did. Of course, he hasn't replied yet, but it was never clarified how exactly to send the images. It's probably fine as long as he can view them.

I can't use either of those—my images are too large...

The images uploaded fine for me.

And even if you have to use the other host, you can link directly to the images instead of a view page, to avoid the ads.

Yes, that should work.

And even if you have to use the other host, you can link directly to the images instead of a view page, to avoid the ads. That redirects to an unusable site.

I tried that, but for some reason it said "no hot-linking" when other people clicked the link. And I can't ever figure out how to get Imageshak to work. I guess I'll have to try it next time. I removed the links, for now.

You guys are right, you can't link directly to images on "supload" - It just temporarily worked for me because the image was stored in my cache.

Hawaii6U: It's not a big enough problem you should need to remove them, it's a good theme. To use imageshack, try going to the site and click Browse. Select your image and click upload (you can ignore all the other options just make sure they are UNchecked). Then click Host It. After it loads scroll all the way to the bottom and find "Direct link to image" - copy that link and there you go :)

Here's my bad effort at a "concept art" theme. Anything I should do with it?

I used The GIMP 2.

Those headers are really stretched out. I don't even know what to do with them. Maybe display them with normal proportions and then put a gradient over the empty parts?

I already made a concept art theme...

Also, stosh doesn't really care about layers, he just needs images to be in .psd, .png, or .jpg forms.

I personally use a different layer for each image and send them in .psd.

Are you sure? It would probably be problematic to sift through all the content he gets if it's stored that way...

Duardo
Nice man... one thing though
The 2 flags, i personally won't see them o_O as the amount of grid on the sides of the page is next to none.

edit:
You know what i mean ?
(i only see umm like 4 of the tiny squares on each side so the flags won't fit)
edit:
65% done with my multi theme

Nice Duardo, I'm not sure about the gradients for the three section titles though.
