The first Resident Evil movie was such bull-blam!- in a bucket. It confused everyone...throw off the video gamers who worked so hard to figure out what the virus was and how it worked...and it ruined the entire storyline...half of the people who worked on that movie got fired...the 2nd movie is better =D

Its a tie, Mortal Kombat 2 and Super Mario Brothers sucked equally hard. And they sucked pretty damn hard.

Do we?

With every "game to movie" I see a potentially good concept turned bad by terrible production. To say game-based movies turn out bad because they're game-based movies is innaccurate.

The problem, as I see it, is who takes up the projects of making the movies. Resident Evil was... cheated... because the movies were made from an "action horror" perspective - one that stressed "neato things" over substance, plot and depth. Actors are chosen on an almost looks-only basis. Possible psychological suspense is overturned by a desire to blow crap up. Plot is placed secondary, as if its only purpose is to place context for the action.

So your equating the Resident Evil movies to a film starring Steven Seagal?

Yes, except Resident Evil had a larger budget, of course...

Again, the problem with games-to-movies, as I see it, is only simpletons take up the projects.

i think that the same people who writes the story for that game, should be the same writers on the movie

They made a Mario movie?

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

The Mario movie was an atrocity. It was so -blam!- weird. Mario must have shot himself after seeing it.

I think the worst movie i didn't put on the list was Double Dargon. It make the Mario movie a work of art.

Long long ago, I had the flu, and as such, decided to stay home. I was feeling completely miserable, I decided to lay down on my couch, and watch TV. As usual, nothing was on... but wait! There's a Mario movie! I never saw that one!

So I sat and watched it. Every last bit of it.

Oddly enough, the next day, my sickness became worse. For the next couple of weeks, I decided to stay home. Whether it was the flu, or Mario movie sickness, I will never know.

Apparently, not everyone has seen the Street Fighter Movie. That's one flaming piece of turd if I ever saw one. Now let me enlighten you with a quote from the movie: "You're pretty smart. Let's see how smart you are when you're not breathing!"

i`ve seen that movie it sucked

I read a book following the first Resident Evil movie and...man, it Stank! The Hive got knocked-out just because the AC couldn't be turned off in a room where it should have been turned off? That stinks--no way around it. And the zombies (or zevumbies...whatever) induced more laughs then screems.
The best movies had to be the Mortal Combat ones. All I remember is I saw them a long time ago and they rocked.

You remember the old lady in Mario Bros.? Sigh.

Resi evil wasn't that bad...if you think of it as a film that has nothing to do with the games.

I actually really enjoyed both Resident Evil movies. Yes, the first one had quite a few flaws to it, but it was still good, and the second was awesome. Lol, went and saw it 4 time in the theater. Anyways, probably the worst game-based movie I have seen is Super Mario Brothers. At the time, I thought it was pretty cool, but now of course I see just how bad it was.
