No. It will suck, majorly. And I'm being optimistic for you. You have a P4 and it doesn't run well, clutch? What's your graphics card. A pentium 4 paired with a good card is unstoppable. P4's can handle any game today without lag if paired with the right card...

Heyyo,

Lol, I'd like to see that Devil. ;)

P4's are ok for gaming... P4 celerons? lmao, one of the WORST cpu's for gaming. Lowered cache = VERY bad for gaming.

So yeah, I'd play it, just not that great. Keep your resolution at the lowest for sure, cause cpu's impact rez framerates quite a bit...

how 'bout all you shut the -blam- up. stop flaming the guy? maby he doesn't know why, hu?(no offense)
anway, it will run. it will probably run fine, as long as it's like, above 2.5ghz.
the reason these guys are flamin' you is because celeron processers are not as good as pentium 4 processors, but they are about the same price. now, you may ask 'then why the *%$& does intel make them?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
they are power saving processors, meant to make a laptop battery last longer, something it's good at. however unless you are gaming on a laptop (which is a bad idea for the most part), you should stick to pentium 4's/

Or you can use AMD's :)

Heyyo,

Note these 2 charts:

Gaming CPU's: AMD > Intel P4 > Intel P4 Celeron lineup.

Multimedia CPU's: Intel P4 > AMD > Intel P4 Celeron Lineup.

Note how both end with the celerons? cause they're meant to be budget, lower end processors.

AMD's easily the best for gaming, check any tests, they come out on top, but if you wanna encode a mp3 at 5ms faster than a AMD processor (both considereing to be the same potential cpu) P4's are for you.

As a professional PC tech support don't get a celeron ever unless you really want to save a little bit of power.

As a salesman? the Intel P4 Celeron lineup was created especially for you: the end user. They made the Celeron lineup with the aim of a cpu lineup that was affordable to all. It runs almost as good as a P4 cpu, but at lower costs.

You decide which of the 2 you'd wanna follow... your wallet or your brain...

weel i run halo with a 64mb intel extreme and i play with the lowest resoultions and it lags on the assult missions when it snows i hate that it goes so slow but when i go inside a cave it runs very nice anyway will a 128mb card make the game run faster or just make it look better.

Well, even if you got a 64 mb card, you'd notice a difference because intel integrated graphics are poor. Yes, a 128 card will run nice. Get the Radeon 9600XT. It's $160-180 depending on where you go. You can overclock it's core to 540 MHz, which is faster than most cards (the newest graphics cards have a standard 525MHz).

Clutch - yeah, Half Life 2 was coded nicely for PC with fast shaders and the like...basically, Halo's coding and shading sucks, very badly.

Also, yes AGP is far different than PCI. PCI is white and extremely slow, while AGP is usually brown, offset, has a little locking tab, and transfers data far faster.

Heyyo,

Yeah, AGP, get it if you can cause AGP > PCI. And for comps? yeah, my motto is AAA.

AAA = AMD, ATI, Asus. ;)
