The Bungie forums are great,

but...

People often get upset when someone posts a stupid thread. Whether it be about Halo 3 in the Septagon, Halo 3 in the Flood, member titles in the Halo 3 forum... Whatever...

The difference between the forums, and their purpose is confusing for some, but it shouldn't be for others...

This is the Community forum. It should contain threads about community projects, activities, people, and all that.
Unfortunately it is usually full of threads complaining about everything that is 'wrong' with Bungie.net, and the community in particular.
It could be called the whinge forum:

"I'm sick of Recon threads"
"There's so much spam"
"(something) is broken"
"(something) should be removed or changed"

Personally, I don't think these sorts of threads are necessary for the main forums. A simple PM to Achronos or another relevant person could often be better.

I love coming on and seeing "Community Humpday," or "Community Challenge," "group themes," etc.
In fact, CrypticGuardian's first community challenge thread was the most fun I had had on here in a long time.
But after a couple of days, it was gone, and so was the fun... It was straight back to, "We need more mods."

How about we make the Community forum a community forum, and leave the complaints somewhere else...
No amount of complaining has solved any of the problems regularly posted about...
Chances are everyone else has noticed 'the problem', but don't see the need to post about it.

I have wanted to say something like this for some time, but thought I shouldn't, but now I'm really tired and can't stop my fingers.

This post may be cliched, ironic and hypocritical, but I don't care... I have a point in there somewhere... Read really hard and you may find it.

(Also, a general tip... Please use the 'Report as spam' feature... By using this feature a mod will be able to find the post and deal with it. The poster does not need to hear from you what they are doing wrong. That is the mods' job to tell them.
If you must tell them, why not do it in a PM.)

Agreed and it is seriously getting annoying seeing pointless and stupid threads. People need to also make sure they get threads where they belong.

There is no forum that is called "Bugs and Complaints"

Exactly my point, thanks :)

In reply to Styles P's edit: This is the 'Community forum'! Those are the sorts of threads it is here for.
The second part... I can't be bothered.
Maybe I can... The Halo: CE forum is pretty quiet... No, very quiet... Maybe we should go post some OT stuff in there...? It's not like it's going to affect the Halo: CE discussion...
